喜欢 The pool is nice if you like hoards of people and loud music. But when it’s 38 degrees the water was amazing! It’s close to Venice and the bus is outside the gate which was very easy. Staff at reception eventually accepted we wanted to leave and were pleasant.

不喜欢 Pitch 5. Right next to the entrance gate, restaurant and toilets and full afternoon sun. Inside the camper hit 46 degrees C! Basically not somewhere you want to be, ever. Tried to ask reception for a different pitch, lots of empty ones but was told NO. You cannot move. We checked out the next day and forced them to refund via the pitch up terms.

喜欢 This is a great campsite, the pitches are well spaced and fairly level. The facilities are large and clean, the shower cubicles spacious with hangers etc, so many campsites get this wrong! There’s a washing machine and drier and a good space for dishwashing. The actual site itself is also very well laid out with lakes to fish and dedicated dog exercise areas. Having stayed at all the Forest of Dean campsites this is our favourite by a long way!

喜欢 It’s a nice location

不喜欢 The facilities are poorly designed and executed. It’s ok but it’s not amazing. Paying for a 6 minute shower and then having to press the button every 30 seconds?? Surely its one or the other. The meter is not in the cubicle so you either have to walk around naked to “be ready to shower” or put the £1 in and then enter the cubicle, get undressed etc and have a shorter shower! . The cubicles are small with hooks on the door, but your clothes get wet because the shower head is so high the water spread covers the space, and it’s also cooler than you might want with no temperature control. The toilet roll holder is behind the toilet so either take enough off before you sit down or be prepared to move after you’ve done your thing! Unless you have a swivel neck like a barn owl. The kitchen was room is ok if your in their alone. Theres two sinks but there’s zero space between them so it a one person space unless you want to rub shoulders with an unknown. It’s a hot (very hot) and cold tap. No mixer! It’s clearly a site more suited to the seasonal caravan pitches it has who have their own kitchen and toilet facilities sorted. It’s a great site for this. For the smaller part of the site with campers and motorhome users it’s fairly expensive for just “ok” facilities
