喜欢 Just loved the feel of the place. Received a warm welcome, given 4 pages containing all the information needed for nearest shops, eating out etc. etc. Was able to choose my own pitch (a choice of shaded and sunny), all the grass was well mowed and clippings picked up and nice and quiet now that they have moved to A14/M1/M6junction. Cannot fault the place at all in fact I could have stayed there quite happily instead of moving on to my booked and paid for holiday up in the Peak district.

不喜欢 Nothing because you know up front that there aren't going to be any facilities.

喜欢 Peaceful, good dog walks but unfortunately only on a lead. A good choice of pitches for our three days stay as we were the only ones there! This would be a very popular site if only they addressed the facilities issues......

不喜欢 I know they state that they cannot install a new toilet block because of a nearby historical landmark (whatever that is!) but I have stayed on numerous sites that have brilliant, portable portacabins that have amazing warm shower rooms each complete with a toilet and sink. All the pitches are serviced with water, drainage and electricity supplied and this is all that is needed for a portacabin. If they were to supply this then the site would be very popular. The Elsan is a good hike away and you have to carry the cassette as it is impossible to wheel it along on the rough surface. Won't be returning unless this is sorted. Saw no one connected to the site during our stay.

As Billingford Lakes is a working fishery with livestock and wildlife around the site, dogs must remain on leads for everyone’s safety. Unfortunately, the planning restrictions affecting the site also apply to portable toilet and shower facilities, although we continue to explore suitable options. The Elsan disposal point is located halfway down the main drive and guests are welcome to drive directly to it, so there is no need to carry or wheel cassettes over the rough ground. Our staff are available at the Lakeside Café during opening hours, and the site bailiff is also available should guests need any assistance. We’re sorry the facilities didn’t meet your expectations, we are suited to self contained caravan/motorhomes as detailed in our information but we really do appreciate your comments and take them all on board.
