Thank you very much for your kind words and reviews. It is really positive to read and I appreciate this at the start of the season. Just in case other campers are put off by your road comment, I would like to add some clarity to those who have not visited before. The road to the campsite is a country, narrow road with very little traffic - the main traffic on this lane are cars coming to and from the site but we are not talking of cars zooming by every minute or so throughout the day and night! I have quite set hours for arriving and leaving and even when I am full, there is still very little traffic on the road. The road noise that can be heard is from the A12 which is half a mile away. I am situated higher than the A12 and there are times when you can hear the traffic on this road. I have lived here for over 40 years and am not aware of it unless I sit outside and train my ear to hear it. I have always felt that it must be like tinnitus; once you have heard it and become aware of it and focus on it - it can replace the beautiful birdsong and peace and quiet of the site. Unless you go deep into the countryside - which is lovely but difficult to navigate both in and out of - I suspect that there are few places in the UK where you don't hear any traffic sound at all. My location is ideal for quickly getting back into 'civilisation' to explore both the coastline and also the market historic towns etc. The reason for my lengthy reply is that if I was someone looking for a holiday - or anything for that matter - I can read 10 great reviews but something negative will have me thrown off balance and I am sure I am not alone in this. If I felt I was going to stay on what I thought was a peaceful site - but with a noisy road immediately outside - I would not be going. So forgive this detailed reply but I did feel that it was a little misleading. However, you gave me a 10 out of 10 so thank you so sincerely for this! I look forward to welcoming you back. Tx
