Hocking Vacations

Getting back to nature is pretty easy when you stay at Hocking Vacations, 10 minutes’ drive from the small Ohio town of Logan, as it’s right in the middle of Hocking Hills State Park and the tent pitches are on the forest floor. The four-acre rural campsite has just a few pitches scattered among the trees. As this is ‘almost’ wild camping, they are all firmly off-grid so bring torches (and spare batteries) so you can move around safely after dark. The ‘almost’ element comes in as each pitch is prepared, cleared and semi-secluded with a picnic table, firepit and wooden tent platform, and is just a few minutes’ uphill walk from the parking area and simple toilet facilities. Hocking Hills hiking and cycling trails are accessible from the pitches, and you can be at well-known landmarks like Ash Cave and Lake Logan in around 15 minutes by car.
