Camping Santa Tecla

喜欢 When we first arrived, we wanted to turn around and go back out. The campsite was deserted of people but was a sizeable shanty town of vacant (primarily old) caravans. We decided to stay, as we had booked three nights, and are pleased we did. We had a massive choice of pitches, and that worked for us. The toilets and showers were spotless but were limited to 46 people at a time, but that was not a concern as I didn't see anybody! The location was excellent for restaurants, but they are about a forty-five-minute walk, the best are in the harbour ; the mountain we visited was amazing (you get there from the town), and the food at the top was good. So to conclude, we had a perfect time, had some great food, and the heritage and beaches made it worthwhile. You look out onto Portugal, so that makes it pleasant.

不喜欢 It was like entering a closed-down theme park, but once you got o er that we liked it.

喜欢 Location, close to the sea and looking over towards Portugal. The showers, loos etc in a large well lit light clean building with modern sanitary fittings and plentiful hot water. There is a reasonably well stocked shop where fresh croissants were available.

不喜欢 We were there in terrible weather which didn’t help. The restaurant is only open at weekends in late September. The site is around 1km from any cafes, restaurants or shops. It is a big site with lots of long term caravans on site. The individual pitches aren’t huge but the site wasn’t at all crowded when we visited.

喜欢 Camping molto grande. C’è di tutto. Bella piscina. Campo da Padel. Noleggio bici a prezzi economici. Pulitissimo. Continuavano a pulire i bagni, mai visto una cosa simile. Complimenti.

喜欢 El camping está en un entorno excelente, para amantes de la naturaleza, excursionistas ,deportistas....infinidad de actividades para realizar y sitios que visitar. El camping es grande con actividades para niños, instalaciones limpias y personal muy amable.

喜欢 This is a large and busy site. The showers and toilets were plentiful and kept clean. There was also a car wash area which was very popular. Staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay giving us recommendations of things to do. There is a good pool which became busy at times. There is a lovely cycle/ walk to the next town.

不喜欢 Some of the pitches had no shade.

喜欢 Bike rides. Nice and flat. Toilet and shower facility good.

不喜欢 Regular residents dogs yapping all day and night and having noisey gatherings. Thought they owned the place.

喜欢 I arrived in mid September with a smiling Ms “Assumption” at the front desk to greet me and teach me all things Santa Tecla. She gave me the pick of the place and made sure her colleague was there when I landed to hook up power. Then he did something unique - He actually stayed until I confirmed my unit did indeed have power then he vanished into the night. The restrooms/showers/laundry/dish area and pool are all ample in supply and well maintained by the friendliest of staff. I have stayed in nicer parks (more expensive) before, but Camping Santa Tecla was good for my soul!

不喜欢 I would like the option to leave earlier than 0800 but no big deal.
