If you like to stay next to the water, you'll probably like Camping Aigües Braves in Catalonia's Lerida. This is a riverside site set a short 700-metre stroll from the crossing of the Noguera Pallaresa and Noguera de Cardós rivers in the Catalan Pyrenees: a popular spot for rafting, fishing or simply diving in to cool off… It's all rather scenic around here, too: have a look at the site pics. The site is run by Marta and David, a professional and friendly pair who make it their mission to ensure all guests have a tiptop stay. Facilities include an on-site restaurant and café dishing up traditional regional food. The site also has a toilet block with showers and a washing-up area. As Camping Aigües Braves is in the Pyrenees, mountain hiking and mountain biking opportunities are all around: one could have a long, long pedal followed by a cool dip in the nearby river…? Several scenic mountain villages should be on your route if you're trekking/cycling about, most with small traditional restaurants serving local cuisine. A good option for a bite to eat is Llavorsí, just two minutes' drive away: wander its narrow cobbled streets and alleys afterwards for a peaceful post-dinner wander.

喜欢 Nos gusto, fuimos con 3 niños y los propietarios nos trataron muy bien, nos explicaron rutas y un camping muy tranquilo para disfrutar de la naturaleza.

Hire a bike near Camping Aigües Braves for long scenic days out among the Catalan Pyrenees, or pack a lunch and go off for several hours' worth of hiking. The area's also well known for rafting, fishing, horse riding and adventure sports; ask David and Marta for their recommendations on locally active days out. The town of Sort, about 15 minutes' drive from Camping Aigües Braves, is a popular base for adventurous sorts who come to try the local hiking, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canyoning and mountain biking. More placidly, the wildlife watching and walks of the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park, the only national park in Catalonia, are just under 25 kilometres away. If you fancy some fashionable shopping, the swish goods and tax concessions of Andorra la Vella are about an hour away (buy some brandy while there too), while for heaps of culture, Barcelona is about three hours' drive from Llavorsí for day trips, and is doable by bus.
