If easy, breezy seaside days and Italian countryside vibes sound like your idea of bliss, head along to Agriturismo Salos, a family-friendly site 15 minutes’ drive from Torre dell’Orso in Puglia’s Salento region. On an organic farm about 10 minutes’ easy wander through traffic-free pine forest from the nearest beaches, the site’s well placed for peaceful rural stays. Set aside an hour or two (every day) for lazing on sand, splashing in sea and strolling under the sun, or simply commit to unwinding in the quiet surrounds of the family-run farm. Days on site will be soundtracked by the rooster’s morning crow and the song of cicadas, while slow-paced games of ping pong and hours passed reading (or napping) in the shade of the pines can fill afternoons. For food, have one of the breakfasts made with organic farm produce, claim one of the communal barbecues or nip over to the small on-site shop to pick up fruit, veg, pasta and eggs. When the time comes to venture off site, the site team will be more than happy to share their local knowledge, and nearby explores are as handy as hiring a bike on site and pedalling off. There’s plenty within reach that’s worth ticking off the list, starting with Torre Sant’Andrea (five minutes’ drive), a stunning beach with crystal clear waters and views of the famed Le Due Sorelle rock formations.

喜欢 Perfect place, with large pitches, clean sanitary facilities, beautiful gardens and very friendly service. Bonus also was to be able to purchase bio fresh fruit and vegetables.

喜欢 Betreiber sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Schön ist, dass man keine klassischen Stellplätze vorfindet. Man hat jenes Gefühl von Individualität, das bei vielen anderen Plätzen verlorengegangen ist. Hervorzuheben ist auch der 1A saubere Sanitärbereich und der liebevoll gestaltete Garten bei Rezeption und Cafe.
Nähe zum Naturstrand (10 Minuten Fussweg durch den Küstenwald).
Ach ja, sehr hundefreundlich ist man auch...

不喜欢 Wenn überhaupt etwas Negatives, dann dass die Duschen zu ruhigeren Zeiten lange brauchen, bis sie warm werden. Da kann ein 1-Euro-Chip schon mal zu 2/3 verbraucht sein, bis das Wasser warm wird.
Also immer 2 Chips mitnehmen...

Und generell Mückenschutz nicht vergessen!

喜欢 Einfacher, aber sehr schöner Campingplatz. Sehr empfehlenswert im September. Grosszügige Plätze, selber wählbar, unter Bäumen im Schatten. Sehr nette Betreiber. Sehr liebevolle gestalteter Garten vom Agriturismo, welcher mitbenutzt werden darf und kleinem Marktstand mit Biogemüse. 10Minuten zu Fuss zur wunderschönen Küste. Küstenwanderung nach Sant Andrea fantastisch.

This may be a countryside site, but it’s well placed for urban days too: it’s 20 minutes’ drive from base to the coastal town of Otranto, where there’s a UNESCO Old Town to explore, a 15th-century castle to tour, and a Byzantine basilica, a palace and an ecological museum to wander around. More extensive urban experiences are within 40 minutes’ drive in the city of Lecce, with days spent visiting museums and cathedrals, strolling the streets of the Old Town, attending concerts or plays at the Roman amphitheatre, and rooting out bargains at the twice-weekly markets. Prefer to stay out in nature? It’s 35 minutes to the WWF-protected Le Cesine nature reserve if spying out butterflies, reptiles and birds appeals, and Bosco e Paludi di Rauccio Natural Regional Park and its rare wild orchids are 45 minutes from base. Excursions to the easternmost point of Italy are a cinch too – it’s just half an hour away. Even closer to hand are the archaeological sites and the Cave of Poetry in Roca Vecchia (about 15 minutes), but longer excursions (50 minutes) to the opposite coast are recommended for explores of the 12th-century island town of Gallipoli and afternoons splashing about in Splash Parco Aquatico.
