If you’re hankering to leave everyday modern life behind for a while and go back to a time when everything was simpler, a stay at Camping Petra Pinzuta might suit you rather well. Out here in the Corsican countryside it feels a bit like stepping back in time – you’ll be staying at a large wooded park with traditional stone buildings at its centre and peaceful pitches completely immersed in natural forest. On top of that, you may be able to join one of the weekly (free) hikes with the site's donkeys, or a Corsican evening with a guitarist strumming traditional tunes for a relaxed vibe. Table tennis and table football are on site for a bit more gentle entertainment too. The views from here are pretty fabulous, looking up towards the mountains on one side and the coast on the other. It’s likely to entice you out for some exploration, and that's easily done with marked hiking trails close by and various options for watersports and adventures like canyoning. Such things can be hot work, so it’s handy to be coming back to a location close to the banks of the Golo river where you can have a fresh swim to cool off. The coast isn’t far off either if you’d prefer a dip in the sea – the nearest beaches are about 15 minutes’ drive away. Of course, modern amenities can be very useful sometimes – the washing machine, the wifi and the bathrooms (with showers and toilets) are all likely to be handy at some point during your stay. You may also find it useful to have the T20 main road and Barchetta’s railway station a little under a kilometre away.

喜欢 Camping calme, en pleine nature, grand emplacement. Sanitaires très propres. Frigo à disposition. Très bon accueil, Idéal pour les campeurs en quête de nature, calme à 20 mn des plages de Bastia, et proche des villages.

喜欢 Nonostante fossimo arrivati un po’ tardi (a causa di un inaspettatissimo traffico) e il proprietario stesse dormendo, quest’ultimo si è svegliato e gentilmente ci ha accolti. Veramente una persona cortese, ci ha indicato la strada e ci ha anche lasciato la guida di lonelyplanet per la Corsica. Il campeggio è molto minimale: si trova un lavandino (che però è personale per la piazzola, quindi molto comodo), dei bagni sparsi, delle docce comuni e una presa elettrica nella piazzola, se si è fatto richiesta. Noi ci eravamo scordati la prolunga e il signore ce ne ha lasciato una. Il campeggio non offre nessun servizio di bar o ristorante, ma proprio lá vicino si può trovare un piccolo bar, anch’esso gestito da un signore delizioso. Attorno la zona è abbastanza servita, ci sta un supermercato, qualche brasserie, ma è assolutamente necessario spostarsi in macchina. Personalmente mi è piaciuto tantissimo e lo ricorderó con affetto, spero di tornare!! Consigliato a chi preferisce un’esperienza più autentica che turistica, magari non è glamour, ma credo sia un ottimo luogo per conoscere e visitare la Corsica del nord.

喜欢 Campeggio nella natura molto piacevole. Spazio e privacy nel verde.
Nonostante sia spartano tutte le piazzole hanno il loro lavabo e attacco per la corrente e i bagni sempre profumati e puliti.
Proprietari gentilissimi.
Strada per raggiungerlo sterrata ma fattibile per quasi tutte le macchine.
In cima vivono 5 asini ed un cavallino

Hiking boots are useful things to pack if you’d like to explore Corsica’s craggy coast and mountains – there are hiking trails of all sorts around including forest walks and more challenging routes climbing mountains like Monte Sant’angelo (half an hour’s drive) and Monte San Petrone (45 minutes). Mountain bike hire/tours, canyoning, horse riding and watersports like paddleboarding or scuba diving are all available nearby too, along with family-friendly attractions such as Western Park waterpark (25 minutes) and Corsica Zoo (45 minutes). You may also like to take a wander around the city of Bastia (half an hour), visiting the old port and climbing to the historic Citadel. All a bit too active? Head to one of the nearby beaches instead – Plage de Cap Sud (20 minutes) and the lengthy Plage de Pineto (25 minutes), backed by a lagoon, are a couple of the top picks.
