A whole heap to do is at guests’ disposal at Camping Kervilor in Brittany’s Morbihan, close to the shores of Quiberon Bay and within easy reach of Carnac’s 3,000 prehistoric standing stones. Nearby also is the pretty marina of La Trinité-Sur-Mer as well as sandy beaches and scenic walking and cycling trails along coastal paths around Quiberon’s wild coast.
After picking your perfect pitch, first thing the kids (and likely grownups too) will want to do is scope out the park’s very own aquatic complex: it’s got a heated indoor pool, a Jacuzzi and an outdoor pool with a toboggan and a four-track slide, as well as a paddling pool with a water fountain for tiny peeps to splosh around in too.
When back on dry land, pack the small people off to the park: it’s got a zipline, a bouncy castle, swings, a slide, spring rockers and two trampolines, so you’ll be left with plenty of time to head to the bar for an afternoon coffee, ice cream or beer, or instead to pick up a few bits for dinner at the on-site grocery store. Freshly baked bread is delivered here daily too, so place an order to have some delivered in time for breakfast the next day.

The site is handy for trips to La Trinité-Sur-Mer’s marina, famed for its annual regattas and other big nautical events like the Spi Ouest-France, the Tour de Belle-Île, the ArMen Race and the Eight-Metre World Cup. Carnac, also a short drive away, is renowned among prehistory buffs as having the world’s biggest collection of megalithic standing stones.
You can hike or bike to several seaside walks from the site too, to explore the spectacular Breton coastline and its sandy beaches.
The site also works with several local activity operators, to provide guests with family-friendly stuff to do off site like tree climbing, Segway days, excursions to aquariums and animal parks, and trips to the Gulf of Morbihan and its islands.
