The Loire Valley is known for many things – stunning châteaus, watersports, riverside cycling and vineyards, for example – and they’re all well within reach of Camping Malaga. Set five minutes’ drive away from Pouilly-sur-Loire on the banks of the Loire, the dog-friendly site is in a prime zone for visiting and/or trying all of the above, plus things like crafts, museum tours and trying the local cuisine.
The site is a five-minute drive from the Loire à Vélo cycling route, as well as shops, wineries and restaurants. The nearest watersports centre is 10 minutes’ drive away. There are also two châteaus within 40 minutes’ drive of the site, the work-in-progress Guédelon and the 17th-century Castle of Saint-Fargeau. The well-known city of Nevers is only 35 minutes’ drive away to the south.
Camping Malaga is a green, grassy site with lots for families to do. A pétanque court and a ping-pong table are near the reception area. If you feel peckish after a game or a long day out, head to the on-site snack bar for refreshments.
Pick your own pitch by the toilets, the snack bar, in a shaded spot or somewhere a bit quieter. There is an amenities block on site with showers and toilets (including two of each for people with reduced mobility), sinks and a laundry area with two sinks for washing clothes alongside a self-service washing machine. There is also a baby-changing area with a changing table and a highchair.
