The destination for your next camping holiday in Auvergne, land of volcanoes and lakes? It could well be Camping Onlycamp Pierre et Sources, with its spectacular setting five minutes’ drive from the Auvergne Volcanoes Natural Regional Park. It’s also 10 minutes’ stroll from historic Volvic, with views across to hilltop Château de Tournoël from the pitches. Along with the views, there’s plenty to keep everybody happy on site, including a library of books and games, ping-pong and table football in the games room and two play areas with games for young children. You can make new friends by challenging fellow guests to a game of badminton or pétanque… And there’s more, with all sorts of fabulously family-friendly fun involving balloons and games laid on in July and August during the school holidays, as well as concerts, treasure hunts and creative workshops. When it comes to food, you can pick up essentials for grilling on the communal barbecue from the grocery store, but if alfresco cooking is not your forté, have a wander into Volvic to stake out its pizzerias, wine bars and restaurants. Start the day right by ordering in bread and pastries, or eat breakfast on the sun terrace outside reception (there’s a charge for both services, please reserve the day before). The kids will no doubt be happy all day with a steady stream of ice creams and drinks from the snack bar – and in fact, reception is your one-stop source for the loan of easily forgotten stuff like plug adaptors, irons and sun shades.

喜欢 Lovely private pitches, only stayed for 1 night as was travelling to Paris but it was a lovely stay highly recommended, lovely staff too!

Freundliche Dame am Empfang

不喜欢 Seltsame alkoholisierte Männer auf dem Gelände, mit großem schwarzen Hund ohne Leine! Sehr laut u aggressiv im Ton!!!
Für uns mit sehr kleinem Hund eine bedrohliche Situation.
Haben unser Pitch verlassen und sind auf die andere Seite des Platzes gefahren.
Für uns ein Grund diesen Platz nicht mehr zu besuchen ! Schade

喜欢 We loved the configuration of the pitches - we were able to choose our pitch on arrival and would recommend parking up and having a look on foot, walking down from the shower block so you can view the different levels and find little hidden away pitches :) shared electric points are positioned at various points and located on some pitches so you just need to make sure your cable can reach. Mainly grass pitches and some did look a little muddy but we managed to find a nice dry one which was also flat. Short walk into Volvic (15/20 mins some is uphill) where there are a few shops, takeaways, restaurants and bars. We had a lovely meal at Hotel du Commerce.
Facilities were a little tired but clean - Cubicles have individual lighting and some lights didn’t work.

喜欢 Great location within walking distance of Volvic village. Good sized flat pitches. Friendly and helpful staff and nice swimming pool and lounge area

不喜欢 Toilets very dark and did not feel safe in them.
In wet weather it’s a muddy mess as we discovered.
No soap in bathrooms

Hikers, the Puy-de-Dôme region is ready and waiting for you with myriad family walks or stiffer challenges for the more experienced on more than 2,400 miles-worth of way-marked trails. They can lead to the video exhibitions in Grotte de la Pierre de Volvic (15 minutes’ walk), source of the famed mineral water, or the scenic crater of Puy de Pariou (roughly three hours’ walk). From Volvic (10 minutes’ walk), the looped GR 441 takes in various volcanoes and heads up to Lake Servières (a seven-hour hike or 45 minutes by car). Alternatively, take the strain off your feet and catch the Panoramique des Dômes rack train (20 minutes’ drive) up to the summit of Puy de Dôme volcano for views across the Auvergne Volcanoes Natural Regional Park. Learn all about volcanoes from the interactive exhibits and workshops at Vulcania theme park (20 minutes), and see one close up at Volcan de Lemptégy (15 minutes), where you explore inside the crater on foot and watch 4D films on the origin of the volcanic Auvergne region.
