If you’re thinking about how to treat yourself this holiday, what could be more appetising than some days in the Welsh countryside, a few miles from one of the Isle of Anglesey’s most popular beaches? Friendly and conveniently positioned for a treat of such sorts, Plas Uchaf Touring and Camping is just half an hour’s walk from the sandy Traeth Benllech. Pottering around the sand and shallows at Traeth Benllech is one thing, but pottering around knowing that you’ll soon be retreating to the village for a tasty pub lunch is another. Benllech village, which is just 20 minutes’ walk away from the site, has a number of restaurants, pubs and shops. It's easy to get distracted from practical matters with so many great places to visit on the Isle of Anglesey, but don’t worry, Plas Uchaf Touring and Camping Park is well-maintained and facilities are kept to a high standard throughout. There are heated toilet blocks with toilets, showers, wash basins, baby changing facilities, hair dryers and shaver points. Plonk yourself down on a picnic bench to nibble on your sandwiches or play the card games you’ve brought with you. If you’re feeling somewhat sporty instead, there’s a field set aside for guests to play football (the goal posts will be handy), tennis or table tennis. A playground is another handy spot for kids to let off steam. On top of all that, the site is dog-friendly, so bring along those wagging tails.

喜欢 Exceptional site, beautifully clean, tidy, great space around to explore and play on site for the children. Wardens were brilliant and so helpful. A great place all round and situated well for exploring the area.

不喜欢 The lane to the site was very narrow although fine just a bit off putting with only a few places to pass.

喜欢 Fantastic site, tent pitch are nicely spaced out and you don’t feel on top of one another. Lots of green space for the children to play. Facilities were excellent and very clean! Showers were lovely and hot. Facilities for the children (park tennis football etc) were excellent.

喜欢 Friendly staff . Plenty of amenities that were clean and well kept . The park itself was spacious and plenty of area for the kids to play. Plus the bonus of good safe play area . Shops/beach etc 2mins in car.

喜欢 Welcoming staff on arrival, clean site with good facilities and great location for walking into Benllech and along to Red Warf Bay.
Clean toilets & showers with plenty of space.

不喜欢 We booked last minute so our pitch was hard standing with little grass space but as I say we booked late.

喜欢 A very peaceful and friendly place – perfect for families with children. The staff was kind and helpful. The beach is just a short walk or a 5-minute drive away. Great location, close to many attractions. The campsite is surrounded by bushes, which offers wind protection and privacy. Clean, quiet, and comfortable – we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
If the weather isn’t great, the Sea Zoo is a great option – your ticket is valid for a whole week, so you can return any time. The old prison is a fantastic experience – we highly recommend choosing the guided tour. The motor museum has very friendly staff and a fascinating collection. Don’t miss the lighthouse, and consider taking a boat trip to Puffin Island – it’s only accessible by sea, but definitely worth it! Most local restaurants serve delicious food at reasonable prices.

喜欢 Great site ,really well located , clean and well maintained , showers were a great temperature and our pitches were really level , very happy we will come again

不喜欢 It would benefit from a on site shop although Tesco is a 10 minute walk or a 2 minute drive

喜欢 Pitches were lovely, shower block and pot wash facilities were excellent and very clean, playground was super, space between pitches was good - it didn’t feel like people were on top of each other, wardens were super friendly and helpful - generally we just loved the site.

不喜欢 Phone signal was not great and no WiFi.

喜欢 Lovely site, very clean and well maintained. Everyone we spoke to was friendly. We liked the addition of the food vans towards end of our holiday.
We came in a campervan, the pitch was generous and had everything we need.

Arrange yourself a nice little tour of the Isle of Anglesey, beginning with the beaches. On the opposite coast to the site, Church Bay (40 minutes’ drive) – accessible down a steep footpath – has rockpools packed with sea critters. Take your surfboard, fishing line or swimming costume for surfing, sea fishing or simply a good swim. Bae Lligwy (10 minutes) is just up the coast, next to Moelfre village and some windswept sand dunes. Surrounded by countryside, the big sandy beach has a wild feel, typical of the Isle of Anglesey. There are a few little, remote coves around Llanddwyn Island (50 minutes) too, accessible at low tide only, as well as a lighthouse and Snowdonia views. Snowdonia views are something the tidal island shares in common with Plas Newydd House and Gardens (25 minutes). Aside from that, there aren’t too many similarities, as this mansion is home to the Marquess of Anglesey. It has a 49-acre garden and a 129-acre woodland and parkland. Beaumaris Castle (20 minutes) is a vision too. Surrounded by a moat, its unfinished stone walls have lush views of the distant mountains.
