Higher Chapel Farm Campsite is set on a working beef and sheep farm in Cornwall's Tamar Valley, roughly a mile from the small village of St Dominick and close to the Devon border. If you like kayaking, make sure to bring your craft along to Higher Chapel Farm Campsite, as the pitches here have easy access to the water via Halton Quay half a mile down the road. If you prefer walking, it's just as easy to take a stroll to Cotehele, a gorgeous Tudor National Trust property two and a half miles from base. This dog-friendly site has basic proper flushing toilets, two showers with plenty of room to hang your clothes and a few other facilities; St Dominick's pub and community-run shop are within easy reach too. Barbecues and campfires are welcome here, with a number of scenic spots available for cooking. Higher Chapel Farm Campsite is in a great location for touring Cornwall's south coast, Dartmoor, Bodmin Moor and other rural areas of the South West. The nearest sizeable town is Saltash, home to Isambard Kingdom Brunel's famous Royal Albert Bridge and a range of scenic coastal vistas. Classic beach resorts like Looe and the port of Plymouth can both be reached within about half an hour by road.

喜欢: Friendly greeting. Very quiet and peaceful.

不喜欢: Quite limited facilities and in the middle of nowhere. It's probably best for people with tents and cars so you can drive to visit the local area. Some light pollution at night.

喜欢: De ligging van het terrein. Afgelegen, stil, rustig gebied. Vriendelijke uitbaters.

不喜欢: Het terrein lag niet echt vlak. Het was moeilijk om een plekje te vinden waar we de camper min of meer waterpas konden parkeren.
De douches en toiletten zijn erg basic, maar wel proper.

喜欢: It’s such a peaceful, lovely campsite. The showers were warm and clean and the toilets were clean with toilet roll and soap provided. The owner was lovely and gave us some recommendations for what to do in the local area. We all loved our stay and will definitely be returning.

喜欢: This was a perfect semi-wild campsite, very basic toilet and shower facility. I loved the fact we had the place virtually to ourselves, only 1other couple who camped on the other side of the field to us. Perfect location for exploring the Tamar valley, plymouth, and the Rame peninsula and east cornwall.
The owners are lovely and very welcoming, my children loved their sheepdog! Would recommend to anyone looking for a low key campsite.

不喜欢: Nothing however it is basic in amenities, a rustic shower (hot water is available!) So it wont suit everyone.
