喜欢 Location, cleanliness, view, well oeganised and friendly site. Great for dogs as close to river walks. Couple of friendly pubs in town and very picturesque town

不喜欢 More showers would be good, but ok for short stay

喜欢 Beautiful village and surrounding areas for walks. Heritage centre was very welcoming and the stafff (Andy) was extremely helpful and informative. All in all the site was clean, well maintained and more than enough hook ups for vehicles.

喜欢 Great place in a quiet valley. I was on a motorbike and there’s hard standing if that bothers you. Very quiet, so not a place if you want to drink beer and have fires. Much more quiet, chilled place. I loved it. I’ll be back.

不喜欢 Nothing really. It was 40p for a shower and I had no change on my, but that’s all my fault.

喜欢 Beautiful surroundings, very friendly staff.

不喜欢 Shower paid £0.50, not a big deal, but c'mon, ridiculous.

If there are groups of bikers they can get busy and the pubs so be aware

不喜欢 Had to pay 50p for a shower which I thought was a bit cheeky all other sites are free that I've used. Site didn't have a friendly feel either.

Not practical for caravans, expect narrow roads and steep roads even for cars

喜欢 Location was amazing! Just on the outskirts of a VERY picturesque magical village tucked away in the deep, deep countryside. The village is well worth a proper wander - it looks like it is straight out of a novel/film set. Amazing views all round & on the way into the village. Think remote and then some.....
Camping fields were clean & tidy and shower/toilet blocks were too on every occasion I used them. The man who cleaned the area was kept very busy as the camping fields were full.
I have to say, I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the more negative reviews left by previous reviewers....
In my experience of the bank holiday weekend and listening to the extended family & friends' reviews, ours transpired to be a very positive experience - we had a lovely time. This was only enhanced by Margaret as she obviously cares very deeply about the countryside and her guests. She arranged a special meat delivery for one of our group and helped out in the shop & cafe when they were very busy. She checked on us and asked after the children most days. A very direct & pleasant lady.
As far as entertainment is concerned - expect to use what is there ie walking & exploring, lovely play field through the wall, heritage centre, stunning views etc.
This is not a theme park - this is the genuine working countryside.

不喜欢 Incline to the lower field but anyone who has camped before knows how to compensate - this is stunning terrain after all!
WiFi not 100% reliable, but it was exceptional weather - lashing rain & howling wind. But had the weather been a little better we would not have noticed as we would have been out & about more.
