喜欢 A lovely little spot, plenty of room to pitch the tent. Great hook-up and close to tent. Good access to toilets, showers and fresh water.
Very clean throughout.

不喜欢 Club house was closed during the half-term week and only open on weekends. This would have made it a top venue.

喜欢 Great communication from the site leading up to our stay, selection of flat pitches, nice walk into the village and through the woods. Having some local football games on while we were there was a bonus but obviously won’t appeal to everyone.

不喜欢 Not a dislike as such but unisex toilet and shower block. Wouldn’t stop us returning but just prefer separate units.

喜欢 The site is situated in very pleasant surroundings. No issues with the site. However, be careful with the lockable swing barrier. Whilst driving through I had the misfortune of a strong gust of wind blowing it back on my van resulting in £300 worth of damage to the body. Once you unlock the gate you can rotate it a further 90 degrees clockwise and you can lock it open with the padlock in order to avoid this happening.

喜欢 Handy spot for an overnight stop, friendly owner, facilities were fine, nothing fancy but did the job. Lovely local pub.

不喜欢 For the price this was not very good, £32 per night, nothing there, check in via a text message, facilities very dated and not very nice in general.

Apologies for not being able to check you in personally - wedding responsibilities unfortunately. Pleased the instruction text message worked.
I agree that our facilities are dated, however we do keep ‘em very clean. Of course this isn’t always easy when we’re busy and the weather is poor, so more apologies for your experience and that I wasn’t there for you to report it to.
Incidentally, we made improvements last season and there will be more made for next season.
In terms of things to do; our Pitchup page is accurate in what our site location offers, so I’m not sure what your expectations were before you arrived.

喜欢 Lots of space on the site, great location to explore the area.

不喜欢 The toilet and shower facilities, although clean, were some distance away. Whilst there we had torrential rain which meant the area in front of the toilet block had huge pools of water to navigate.

喜欢 The steward was really friendly. Also the pitches were level and quite spacious.

不喜欢 The shower and toilet facilities were very dated and not very clean with mould round the sealant. There was only one toilet and two showers in each of the male and female blocks and they were very basic. The shower tray filled up as if the drainage wasn't very good. Also it was quite a walk from the pitches to the facilities and no lighting which would be difficult in the middle if the night as a code was needed to unlock the outer door.
