喜欢 Lovely site, great facilities and easy to get to. The team really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the whole site was clean and well maintained. Facilities were in good order and always clean. Plenty for children, including park/ football area and bike track!

不喜欢 The quiet rule was overlooked by some and it wasn’t policed, a bit too far away from anything, the onsite shop was always closed, not enough showers for the whole site

喜欢 Quiet site, close to York centre take away food close by and really tasty! Toilets are clean and well kept.

不喜欢 No club house/ bar so lacking a bit of a community feel. No activities happening, maybe aimed towards older/ retired people

喜欢 We really enjoyed it here, friendly wardens, the park was so clean, nice area for the kids to play and a nice place to play football. The shower block and toilets were very clean. Would definitely come back again!

喜欢 The whole site is very well thought out with a couple of separate meadows, good facilities block and Reception/small shop, playground and dog walk/ball pitch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I liked the drive up to the entrance barrier and the vehicle reg recognition system.
Sheriff Hutton village and the pub and shop are walkable on a path.

不喜欢 The only small point was WiFi is paid for per day/week for one device only. I paid £4 for 2 days but could have done with access for more than one device for that. Not sure why it’s restricted like that

喜欢 we were welcomed and shown to our pitch by the warden who was a credit to the campsite, we had a great crack and chat with him. we took the grandchildren who loved the play area and they made new friends. Toilets and showers were basic but clean. The pitch was the best weve come across, big , water, waste water, and toilet waste all on your pitch. The local pub is about 1 mile walk, about 20 mins but worth it good pint and good food and easy to call a uber back to the site for about 4.50 pounds.

不喜欢 A small number of older youths about 16 or older in the play area should not have been in there spoiling and showing off a bit, it was off putting to the younger kids.

Sheriff Hutton is a pretty place to start when considering the countryside around here. And then one must go Yorkwards, to the splendid city with York Minster, cobbled streets, York Dungeon, York Railway Museum, the Jorvik Viking Centre… Spend some time too among the market, shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs of the Shambles, the teeny streets that are among the most snapped shots of York. Plenty of indoor options are around if the weather decides to be a tad inconsiderate: you could dash to an indoor play centre nearby or take the tour at York's Chocolate Story (yes, tastings are included…) Bigger parks like Flamingo Land and Lightwater Valley are in the area too. Golf? Greens surrounding the park include Sandburn Hall (with other activities too), York Golf Club, Fulford Golf Club, Easingwold Golf Club and Ampleforth Golf Club. Fishing? Also popular in these parts: cast off locally at Pottery Pond, Birkdale Farm, and Brickyard Farm Lakes. And of course as it's Yorkshire, there are also piles of abbeys, castles, stately homes, historic houses and museums to visit – without even mentioning the moors or the Yorkshire coast…
