Set on the southern edge of the Peak District National Park, Brooklyn Grange Farm is a back-to-basics site on a family-run dairy farm surrounded by gorgeous Staffordshire countryside. The scenery here is varied indeed, with views over grassy meadows and the spectacular rocky ridge known as The Roaches. You'll also be well placed to sample local produce at this small-scale site – you can head to the farm shop, which sells eggs, bacon, sausages, cheese, barbecue meats and other goodies, or grab a local ice cream, milkshake or fresh milk from the on-site Milk Barn. You're welcome to light up a barbecue, as long as it's kept off the grass. If you don't have your own, there are firepits for hire (a cash deposit is required) from the farm shop and kindling and logs for sale. There's also a village pub and carvery around 10 minutes' walk away on the edge of Thorncliffe (with another around 10 minutes' walk away in Blackshaw Moor). For more flavours, try Leek (five minutes' drive), a local market town with a good range of restaurants, cafés and food shops. You could also take yourself off for a hike in the national park (a mile away), where there are many miles of well-mapped trails to explore. As for facilities, Brooklyn Grange Farm has functional and well-maintained toilets for guests. There is one shower available here (bookable for an extra charge at the farm shop), or you can take the option of travelling five minutes down the road to Brough Park Leisure Centre.

喜欢 Campsite itself was nice and clean. Ice cream and farm shop are a nice touch, however between 4/5 £ per ice cream scoop seems quite expensive, especially if you’re there for a few days with children.

不喜欢 Only 1x shower that’s £2.50 which you have to pre-book. The shower room itself was dirty with no where to place clean clothing/wash bag. As a result
of this, would not return. No signal all weekend. Also no paper towels or dryers in the ladies toilets had people leaving wet tissues on the sink which was pretty grim.

来自经理: The ice creams are £3.50 per scoop & a generous portion - the sorbet is £5 which we offer as an alternative due to allergies (this is a more expensive product) - we advertise on pitch-up as a back to basics campsite - we clearly state on pitch up in the general info section only 1 x shower on site, there are hooks & rails in the shower room to hang clothes & bags - we have NEVER promoted WiFi - we do not provide towels in the toilet as in the past they have blocked the toilets as people did not use the bins provided

喜欢 We had such a lovely stay at this campsite on a working farm!
The views are absolutely amazing and we loved the little farm shop, great milk, delicious fresh eggs, lovely honey and yummy milkshakes that my teenage daughter absolutely loved!Prices were really reasonable too.

The owners are genuinely lovely and so welcoming. The facilities are basic, but honestly, for the price of the camping, you get exactly what you pay for. There are toilets and a shower (£2.50 for 15 minutes), which was absolutely fine for us.

We originally booked for 3 nights but loved it so much that we extended our stay!

There are two pubs within a short walk, and we especially loved The Reform Inn. Such fantastic, welcoming owners and loads of sockets to charge your phone — always a bonus! 🤣

I’d absolutely love to come back. And the biggest compliment of all… even my teenage girl loved it here!

喜欢 The location was beautiful, great to choose between two fields, staff were super helpful and friendly. The little shop has everything you need and cute touch with the milkshake dispenser! Not to busy in the fields, very short walk to water and toilets. Lovely seeing farm animals walk around

喜欢 Everything was clean and well looked after. Especially the toilets and the shower.
The people there were so nice and very helpful as well.
It was lovely to try their fresh milk from the cows and you could also buy a cute glass bottle as well.
This was our first time camping, and we really enjoyed it, and the view was beautiful as well.

喜欢 The site location and facilities on site was perfect for what we were after for a weekend away. Location was not far from most places at all and all of the owners were so lovely and friendly.

If your idea of fun doesn't include days full of white-knuckle rollercoaster rides, another family-friendly option is Peak Wildlife Park (10 minutes).
