喜欢: Large pitch size
Secure site with barriers. our ‘travel party’ is just two- single mum and son- so it is a factor to feel safe
There were large family groups gathered around the Barn entertainment shed - but there was no noise from the ‘pub’ audible at the tent pitch at all.
Gated play area next to the tent pitches- well away from main access route/ moving vehicles
Was able to have food delivered to site via usual phone apps.

不喜欢: Stayed on a very quiet night with just one other tent on the field so can’t really understand why allocated numbered pitches directly adjacent to each other unless it saved money to only power one electric output post?? Thankfully our ‘next door neighbours’ were pleasant but it would have been an unnecessary annoyance otherwise.
The mobile toilet block was super clean but would imagine in school summer break the facilities must be very cramped; cubicles are small and the sinks are washing up bowl size.
The play area was really safe location but the equipment is designed for young children. My son is 8 and was quickly bored. I appreciate there is a second play area at the other end of site but we didn’t get round to checking that out (only stayed one night)
Paid for WiFi, which was fine for phone but not for small device with Firestick- seems you need a touch screen to select necessary options to connect, couldn’t find a work around on any device settings, and staff member at the snack bar wasn’t able to offer any insight, so gave up in the end.

喜欢: On route to our next site. Pitch was spacious with hedges in between. Plenty bins on site. Easy check in. The little walk through the woods was cute. Plenty toilets which were clean.

不喜欢: Could just do with a little tidy; strim round and weed kill. (Maybe we are heightened to this as land owners, maybe most guests wouldn't notice). If you're looking for a quiet site, this isn't for you.

喜欢: The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We felt lucky that the pitch we were on, was in a good location with it's own tap and waste. Elsan point nearby and toilet block. The site is very large with a variety of pitch types, so some may not have the same handy facilities. Adult bar was reasonably priced. Approx 20 min walk into Wem, or bus by entrance to go to either Whitchurch or Shrewsbury.

不喜欢: The camping toilets/showers appeared clean, but dated, but the toilet in the bar was very dirty, and overlooked. Some maintenance required. Also, I only calculated 7 showers for the ladies across two blocks (there may be others), but that seems far too little, given the size of the site. As we are child free - we wouldn't want to be there at peak times. There were lots of children running around, scooting and screaming til gone 10pm - something to mindful of.

喜欢: This was a brilliant site, we were first time tourers and lower Lacon was perfect. We were on a grass pitch which was level and very spacious. We loved how friendly and helpful the staff were- in particular the warden that drives round on the buggie (Ernie I think his name was), he was lovely and very helpful indeed. Toilet and shower blocks were very clean and always had toilet/soap in them. Jakks bar had some great entertainment on in the evenings for all the family. Play areas were very clean and safe and were always full of children playing and enjoying them. The shop is well stocked and very reasonably priced. Bbqs and fire pits were welcome, which was perfect for the brilliant weather we had. There are animals darted about the site in fields which was a nice extra touch- making you feel at home with nature. The takeaway is an ideal option and food was served hot and very tasty. All in all we had an absolute blast and have nothing to fault. We can't wait to come back and visit again soon. Thank you to all at Lower Lacon.

喜欢: Pitch green 12 was great, weather lovely, showers toilet very clean, staff very welcoming. Would be brilliant for families with children due to the facilities. Would definitely go again

喜欢: Staff were great, the site shop was well stocked. Toilets blocks were very clean. Fully serviced pitches were spot on.

喜欢: nice site shame my stay on this occasion was not good

不喜欢: the whole three days of my stay was spoilt with the sound of 5 yapping dogs which started between 6am and 7 in the morning and then to top it off the van next door smoked pot all the time not what i need to smell and as for the rules of the site alot of them went straight out the window

I'm very sorry for the noisy dogs in your area.
I've looked up the bookings around you and out of the eight pitches in that bay, 6 had dogs.
If the dogs seemed upset, we would always like this reported. As hopefully the dog should never be unhappy.
But you are right the orange area is the best place if you prefer an area without dogs.
