不喜欢 We booked a fully serviced pitch for our motorhome a week in advance but unfortunately had a death in the family and had to attend a funeral abroad last minute.

Over the years, we’ve stayed at many campsites over the UK and have occasionally needed to adjust dates due to unforeseen circumstances. In our experience, most sites have been understanding and accommodating where they can.

Sadly, that wasn’t the case here. The response by the lady on the phone we received was quite abrupt, and we were simply referred to the terms and conditions with no flexibility or empathy shown. Very short and sharp.

We completely understand that policies are in place for a reason, but a more considerate and customer-focused approach would have made a big difference in this situation.

As regular motorhome users, we’re part of a wider community where experiences are often shared, and this is something people do take into account when choosing where to stay.

Based on this experience, we would not book again.

喜欢 Very good communication. Lovely big pitch. Enjoyed the beer. Toilet block exceptionally clean. Looked after us very well.

不喜欢 Could switch off the big lights at night. Birds singing as if day and I would think it is not natural for fish either. Appreciate some security issues but maybe you could switch off most lights at 10pm to benefit your wildlife.

喜欢 Bar food excellent, Sunday lunch excellent value, lovely walks around the lakes.

不喜欢 Hard standing pitches are a little tight to get on,as the grass was very soft, power supply probably only 6amp

喜欢 Spacious pitches, with nice location to the on site facilities.
Put was lovely and cosy, with delicious food being served with daily specials
Would recommend for a nice weekend away with walks around the lakes
