Belvoir Castle Steam and Country Show

Tear yourselves away from all the displays at the show to explore the estate more widely – if you buy a Belvoir Castle day ticket you’ll be able to take a guided tour of the building, explore the gardens and take the kids to have fun at the adventure playground and animal park. There’s a great retail area here with a farm shop, garden centre among other things. If that’s whetted your appetite for country estates, you may also like to pay a visit to other local venues like Woolsthorpe Manor (20 minutes’ drive) and National Trust - Belton Estate (25 minutes), or stroll along the terraces at Easton Walled Gardens (20 minutes), on the site of a former manor house. Kids not into such things? Perhaps they’d prefer a run about at Melton Country Park (20 minutes) or meeting the cute residents of J and J Alpacas (25 minutes). Meanwhile, grownups who’d like to add a bit of adrenaline to their weekend can leap from a plane at Skydive Langar (15 minutes).
