Tagg Lane Caravan Site

喜欢 We loved the simplicity. Yes there is very little phone signal and almost no WiFi. For us, this was a positive. We knew these facts before our arrival as it's clearly stated on the listing, as is the fact there are no toilets and showers. The field was lush and clean with hardstanding areas for all pitches. Fresh water and waste disposal is easily accessible. The Dairy Icecream Parlour next door is to die for. It is so popular, people were flocking to it which made in incredibly busy. There is a queue, so be prepared to wait for your slice of heaven! It is worth it! There were no issues with these customers coming onto our camping field while we were there.
The booking in is a pain, the sign says check you allocated number of your pitch booking which is doesn't do. I nipped to the front of the queue in the Icecream Parlour to let them know we had arrived. As others have said, they didn’t seem overly concerned as the which pitch we had to be honest and there was no other interaction with the owners other than my wife chatting to the lady later in the evening during our walk. They are extremely busy with the farm and dairy, so I guess the camping is another added bonus that they let Pitchup.com deal with. We are really happy with our short stay, we used it as a base as it suited us and the price we thought more than fair. The pitches are generally sloping, but again, not an issue for us. We will definitely return very soon.

喜欢 Was a lovely quiet camp. Plenty of space between units.

不喜欢 Pity it didn't have toilets or showers, and no WiFi. We go to a camp that has 2 sheds made into toilet and showers.

喜欢 Small, clean quiet site. Ice cream farm next door had amazing ice cream!! Water/bins/waste disposal close enough. Cows outside our window - the children loved this!

不喜欢 Road was a little noisy at night but it was bearable. Grass pitches were quite uneven. No phone signal or WiFi

喜欢 The location , just 3miles from Bakewell in beautiful countryside. This a dairy farm that make fantastic ice cream.

不喜欢 The check-in was poor, you have to pull in then go to the ice cream parlour, the was at least a twenty minute wait , then told to go any pitch 1-5, we weren’t welcomed, no information given , felt a inconvenience. the pitches gravel or hard standing were not even and little effort made with field. When we got on site it was clear people fended for themselves and parked any where. The main problem was it’s next to the car park for the parlour and literally hundred of car were in and out on a dust gravel surface so not peaceful or quiet until 5.30. Just your normal farm experience. Won’t go back.
