Понравилось ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed at Chalk Meadow as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) from Thursday to Sunday, with friends and family joining us on Friday and Saturday, and had a lovely time. The site is well looked after and the facilities are kept clean and tidy. The owner is a really friendly guy, in and out throughout the day, always around if you need anything and happy to have a chat. It was very quiet when we arrived Thursday, and we weren't initially sure whether we just went in and pitched up, but once we got settled the owner came over to make sure we were all okay. By Saturday evening the site was almost full, but everyone was respectful, with quiet being observed around 10–11pm. The facilities were kept really well throughout our stay. There's a bit of an unwritten camping rule that if you find somewhere clean, you leave it clean for the next person — and everyone seemed to follow that, which made a big difference. We'd definitely recommend this off-grid site. Just to clarify regarding some recent reviews, campfires and fire BBQs are currently not permitted due to the local hosepipe restrictions. This isn't something the owner can control — if the restrictions weren't in place, I'm sure he'd happily allow them. But with the current weather and conditions, allowing fires could quite literally put the fields at risk of going up in flames, as well as potentially leaving him facing a substantial fine or worse. It's simply common sense and a necessary safety measure in the current conditions.

Понравилось Love the atmosphere, the site, facilities and of course the owners. Make your own pitch is great with lots of space on site. Everyone very friendly and just such a great place. We've already been twice and expect to be back again soon.
