Понравилось Excellent location for exploring Thor's cave. Peaceful location, loved the cows in the field next door, so cute! Toilets and showers were exceptionally clean and well stocked. Was a very busy weekend and still very clean toilets! The spacious pitches meant that eventhough almost every pitch was occupied there was plenty of space! Appreciated the lower sink to wash up and the shower chairs in the showers. Very little light pollution which meant we even saw some metoers. We walked to two different pubs in the area, the closest was Royal Oak (5 minute walk.. if that) which had lovely food and we went to another pub - Watts Russell Arms about a 20/25 minute walk for some more drinks in the afternoon. Overall a lovely weekend getaway. All features of the campsite were as described. We didn't sample the snack bar but a quick glance at the prices it looked great value for money.

Понравилось All facilities exactly as described. The managers were lovely and helpful at check in and through out. Also noticed at check in the reception has a small shop of camping essentials like gas etc. We didn't need during our stay but nice to know it's there. The showers are paid for, but is small fee of 50 cents and the hot water lasted plenty long enough to wash my long curly hair. The water pressure was great and shower rooms and toilets were kept very clean throughout our stay. Overall, a very peaceful and chilled vibe to the campsite

Понравилось We stayed for 5 nights and it's a great location for exploring galway and mayo. Centrally located and you can walk to the town of cong which is nice. Facilities were as described in the description and were kept very clean by the cleaning crew. A few of the tent pitches, like we had, had very high hedges which we were thankful of when the storms came in one night as it protected us from that.

Не понравилось While the facilities were kept very clean, they were quite dated and could maybe do with a renovation. Everything worked fine, just not as modern as it could have been. For example, no temperature controls on the showers which for my taste was almost uncomfortably hot. It's something you are never going to please everyone with so showers with temperature controls would be a great upgrade. You are sharing facilities with the rooms above the kitchen and toilets which did mean the kitchen was busy at times, glad we only needed to use it for washing up.

Понравилось Everything was as described in the write up. Friendly greeting and very spacious pitches. Toilets and showers very clean and plenty of them, it was fairly busy at the campsite this weekend (camra were hosting a beer festival, which is why we booked to camp!) And never had to wait use of the facilities, which is a bonus.

Не понравилось If I am being really fussy, a bit more water pressure in the showers would be nice but they did the job!

Понравилось I really don't think I can do this campsite justice but I will try. It was exactly what we needed. Exceedingly peaceful. From dawn to dusk we were surrounded by birdsong that was just lovely. It's far enough away from busy roads that the road noise is so minimal. Beautiful meadow field to pitch a tent in, and exactly the sort of place I love spending time in. The facilities were as described but what the description fails to mention is the attention to detail in every aspect of it. The composting toilets were spotlessly clean with plenty of loo roll, sawdust, and hand sanitizer. No smell at all from the toilets, I challenge you to find cleaner and better maintained toilets than these! The little touches like lights that came on at night, but clear panels letting daylight in the day meant you weren't shocked by bright lights for your pre bed wee. The washing up area had hand soap for post toilet visits and lovely wash basins for washing up your dishes. The showers were brilliant, normally 3 showers are available, but nesting birds meant only 2 were available which is fine by me. It's nice having campsite owners who care about the environment. Showering there was an absolute delight, private cubicles with fresh air so it didn't get steamy (a pet peeve of mine!) Perfect water temperature, which the owners assured us they could change if it didn't suit us. A little caddy for your shampoo etc and plentiful hooks for your towel and a shower curtain to stop you getting your towel wet- they really thought of everything! Apart from the facilities the care and attention the owners paid to maintaining them is amazing, they really are a hard working pair. Now... onto the vibe. Relaxed, fuss free camping. A relaxed, "choose your own location" meant a well spread out vibe and peaceful community. We only stayed 2 nights but very much feel like I got a week's worth of relaxation out of it. The owners recommended the local pub (The Red Lion in Culworth) and a foot path leading to it, both were excellent and very welcome. A gentle foot path with only a slight incline to reach the village- though beware I did receive a jump scare from a pheasant. If you want a peaceful escape in the best of what the british countryside has to offer then book here right now. If I haven't convinced you... the owners are some of the loveliest people I have met who own a campsite. Helpful and knowledgeable but also realise you are there for a peaceful time so aren't intrusive. As good as the humans are the doggy owner Maggie is a special soul- she is joy in dog form. But rest assured if you are not a dog lover, her humans have her under great control and she only says hello if you are willing too (which I very much am!) So if you are not a dog lover don't be put off. All in all, it was an outstanding weekend as true rural gem of a campsite.

Понравилось Great pitch size. Really lovely staff. I loved the hedges, offered nice privacy between sections of the site making it feel smaller in a good way. Provided good shade and the birds were great to watch and listen to. Toilets were clean and showers were too. We had a gorgeous breakfast at the cafe our last morning, it was really well priced and absolute bargain. A great and relaxing rural escape in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. Everything was as advertised on the site, which is all you can ask for!

Понравилось So many highlights, the owners/managers were so friendly welcoming and can't think of more perfect people to run a campsite. And then on arrival finding out they have a little bar that opens friday and Saturday nights (the only two nights we stayed) was amazing. They had our favourite local brewery on tap (church farm). The pizzas on Saturday night were absolutely amazing as well! Toilets were very clean and well stocked, which given how busy the site was, is very impressive! But my favourite thing was the outdoor showers, they were amazing and I wish I had one at home. The pitch sizes were very generous in size and the whole feel of the campsite was just very welcoming and it felt very well cared for. The little touches like the flowers and the whole site being well maintained but not over manicured really made for a very pleasant stay. Cannot wait to come back.

Понравилось The surroundings were beautiful. The pitches were flat and well taken care of. We only stayed for two nights but could happily have stayed longer. Really good water pressure in the showers which is always a bonus!

Понравилось One of the most peaceful campsites I have stayed at. The hosts were lovely and couldn't be more helpful. Its in a beautiful rural location and is exactly what it says on the tin. Loved our stay there, thank you very much! Pitches were very generous in size and configuration of them allowed for privacy, there was only one other tent there but it felt like we were totally alone which was ideal for us. It was well sheltered from the crazy winds elsewhere in the country on this particular weekend.
