Another successful trip to Yarwell Mill. It started off on the front foot with the lovely Linda on reception. She organised everything to our satisfaction and even pronounced my name correctly with a slight Bavarian accent- I was most impressed. The campsite wash facilities were once again clean and spotless. The hot water system was first class and my wife was considering poaching an egg in the sink as the Hot water temperature was magnificent. The number of dogs on site has increased which makes for Great entertainment. Unfortunately our younger dachshund thinks he is 'Jeffrey Dahmer' when we take him on away trips and tries to grab the other well behaved dogs by the throat!. The fishing was up to the usual high standards although I was outfished by my younger colleague who managed to catch more fish than me. He certainly wont be coming again. The first night BBQ went well, with no rain and the evening descended in to a lively intellectual debate- for those that could be arsed. We seemed to arrive on an evening with plenty of stamp lickers who were very friendly. They seemed to depart early the following morning after being swamped on the 'Omegle' app by the younger members of our party the night before. As is usual, most of our female contingent disappeared during the following day and arrived back on site later in the day and all had scrubbed up really well. There were virtually no feral kids on site this time round which was a real shame, as my wife always likes to have a moan about something. Saturday night takeaway was superb and was ordered by one of our day guest members. Without his assistance the dog biscuits would have taken a hammering as well as the remaining 4 tins of pedigree chum. Linda from reception did approach us on the Saturday evening for a chat and to advise that the plot next door should be clear for the arrival of new campers. This turned out to be a 'Now show' as they never arrived. This was a real shame as we always like to meet new friends that we can fall out with!

Overall another Great Weekend and Top Marks for Yarwell yet again.

Lovely location, great facilities showers/toilets always clean and spacious, a little walk from the tents but this wasn’t a problem. Tent pitches were large with plenty of room for the whole family to play.
Cafe on site was a bonus and the river running through was picturesque.

Fantastic site in a beautiful setting, plenty of space for the children to play. Quiet and peaceful, great toilet/shower facilities, very clean in fact probably some of the best we have used.

The pitches were much to close to each other, I would expect these size pitches at a festival not a camp site, and the really annoying bit was that 3/4 of the field was not used and especially as we was non electric.

Also I think a curfew on music from 22:30 would be an idea especially when you are sardine in a small area

Facilities disgusting, floors uneven and nothing to clean up with after shower. No motorhome pitches, was put on what was said to be a tent pitch

Lovely clean reception area and friendly helpful staff. Cafe had some lovely cakes and the setting by the river was lovely.
Our pitch was also by the river which was great and relaxing in the most part.
Shower cubicles were clean and spacious and good area to wash pots.

We were aware the site was a family site but we're a little disappointed that 2 children, I'd say under 8 years of age were splashing around in the river and very noisy for an extended period of time without parents in site! Both dangerous and unfair on other campers looking for peace and quiet. Next time we will visit out of school holidays.

The Elsan toilet waste area was very different to what we have seen before and I'm not entirely sure we'd use our van again if it means emptying contents in there! I think next time we will use the toilet blocks!

Fantastic location on the river, lots of great walks and loads of space. Facilities were brilliant and the staff in reception very helpful and friendly. Very dog friendly, well maintained and tidy site. The perfect place for a peaceful getaway in the countryside! Pitch sizes were very generous.

Not the camps fault, and it is very difficult to criticise such a fantastic place also this certainly will not put us off coming again, but the only downside for us was the location was just a little too far away from shops, restaurants etc

Peaceful location, excellent walks around. We enjoyed the wildlife and watching the parachutes descending. Great cafe on site adjacent to the river and lock gate. The Angel pub in Yarwell was just under a mile to walk, excellent food and great service.
We were aware from reviews there was on-going building works. Whilst we were there there was no work going on so we were not disturbed.

The shower/toilet block was generally clean but lacking toilet brushes and waste bins. One toilet had a broken seat and one was leaking.
The facilities available seemed inadequate for the number of pitches on site and although only 5 pitches were in use we still had to queue.. The shower/toilet block could usefully have steps on the field side.
Expensive compared other sites with better facilities.

Mature Couple with Grandchildren 12 + 14.. Very Relaxed Site, Friendly Helpful Staff, Even got a Cafe/Tea Room on site… River with a fully functional Lock, very interesting watching people make their way through the Lock.. Toilets and Showers were Morden and Clean…Local attractions, watching parachutes descending in the sky (watch on site,) A short distance away Nene Valley Railway,Sacrewell Heritage Farm + Country Centre , Yarwell site is still being developed.But we Still Enjoyed our stay… Will Be Back Soon…Local to us so hopefully we will become Regulars, The local Pub, The Angel in Yarwell is Absolutely Lovely/Quaint.. A Proper Pub…Their Garden is Unique.!!! Served good Basic Food, Not Overpriced… They Want to remain a PUB..,and have No Aspirations of being a Pub Restaurant ..!!!! Altogether a Fantastic First for us… As we’re New to Motor-homing…🤣😂🤣

Disliked the Lock on the Elsan Point… but we were given the Code to unlock it on Arrival, so we could use it whenever we needed to….Think it’s a Safety feature…
