Loved the site. Pitches by riverside are lovely to watch the canal boats and canoo /paddleboarders enjoying themselves. Decent size bathrooms containing shower with plenty of hot water, toilet and sink so very private, good for those with young families.
Wonderful walks and cafe on site although that is closed Monday and Tuesday

Just be mindful If your by the lock your constantly having people around your pitch to get to the river, so they are not very private. Good for entertainment though :)
I think there should be a ladder on the jetty as its quite a drop to get into your vessel. And also if young kids do 'fall in' it's a quick exit than swimming over to the otherside from a safety access, I get that it's really there for canal boats to moor whilst navigating lock, but there's room by the steps on the bank.

Loads of space. Good clean pitch, field and toilet blocks. Nice walks and fantastic pub in the village.

The walks where lovely ple ty of space for the kids to run and play. Staff where friendly and helpful from start to finish. The Saturday night take out was amazing and the cafe was good with nice selection

Beautiful setting, very spacious, lots to do in and around the park. The cafe was lovely and offered a selection of food and drink. Great local pubs. Will definitely be returning.

Great location, large field for the kids to run around on.

Pitches were very close together and lots of noisy groups up until the early hours drinking and swearing. Toilets and shower facilities were grim and only had toilet paper 50% of the time (I’d be surprised if they were cleaned every day as we were told). Washing up facilities weren’t adequate for the number of campers and only had intermittent hot water plus no lighting. Site was under construction in areas and looked untidy.

The park is very pretty and there are great walks from the site. The large camping field is great for the kids to play on - it’s great that they don’t fill it with camping pitches, but instead leave it open.
The cafe is great and seems to sell a lot and the ladies in there were really lovely.
The ladies on reception were really friendly too.

The toilet and shower facilities are not big enough for the number of people using them. Whilst the cleaner was very good, the cleaning schedule needs to be much more frequent as they became very dirty each day, particularly Bank holiday Monday, when it did not seem they got cleaned at all. I did not want my children to use them because they were that dirty on the Monday.

Things like this really spoil the camping experience and unfortunately will be a reason we won’t return to this campsite. This is a real shame, as we chose this campsite as I stayed here regularly as a child camping and I wanted my kids to enjoy it too. Unfortunately, they have focussed on the Chalets and the camping side of things has really gone downhill.

In addition, I emailed the office and sent a Facebook message prior to our visit, asking about buses into Peterborough, but no one got back to me. There was no information that I could see on walks from the site or about the steam train, which you would expect there to be. When I asked the lady in the office, she was really lovely, but couldn’t give a lot of information.

Lovely spot by the river. Site well maintained, and staff very friendly.
