What a fantastic little site. Everything you could think of here, right of grid.
The Shepherds Hut was brilliant, the campsite was lovely and clean, brilliant play area for the kids and the peace and quiet was wonderful.
Brilliant set up for the kitchen with plenty of spare pots, pans, glasses, cutlery etc..
Showers, toilets etc where spotless, and the showers were perfect.

Everyone was wonderfully pleasent.

Couldn't Find Anything to Dislike anywhere On Site!

Loved this place and would definitely be returning.
Had everything as advertised, loved the setup and atmosphere.
Everything we could have asked for a lovely get away with the kids.
Would happily recommend.

Make sure you take good insect repellents. Whilst it is set in the middle of the woods and there is nothing the camp site can do about nature and insects, we used our usual insect repellent and have come away with over 30 bites EACH

We loved the whole area very impressive clean outdoor toilet and showers, if u dont own your own stove or bits and pieces to cook warm meals you are being provided by Judie and Anthony with a set of wood logs and BBQ and full access to kitchen accessories, family friendly plenty of things to do and play for the kids, quietness and nature sounds are just stunning,

Everything from the moment u drive into the campsite.I traveled as a solo camper with my dog and literally had the whole campsite to ourselves amazing !!! stayed on squirrels secluded part which was so secluded and private I loved it .lots of space perfect for people wanting some privacy.the rest of the site is just amazing,the way it’s laid out,it’s so well kept and spotless.toilets very clean ,things to borrow from pumps, pans ,camping stoves ect. There is endless things for children to do from forest school,swings ball games ,it really does have a lot and can imagine families have the most amazing time here just liked I did too.i honestly wish I’d have booked longer.I would highly recommend this brilliant campsite and I and my toy poodle will definitely be coming back.thank again for the most amazing stay judie and Anthony

Absolutely nothing !!!! Most perfect campsite ever with the most nicest owners

Just spent 5 glorious days camping with my two kids aged 5 and 9. We stayed in thr dormouse house pre-erected 'rent a tent'. This was a octogenal shaped tent, which had a double and a single air mattress in it. There was also a small table and 2 chairs and a small camping cupboard containing some plates, bowls, mugs, cutlery, a pot and pan, some firestarters, a 1 burner camping cooker, and a kettle. The tent was clean and comfortable. It felt big for the 3 of us, though it would have been a struggle to fit another adult.

The pitch was amazing- really big, with an area for the tent, an area for a campfire (provided, along with 1st trug of wood), and a 'kitchen' area under tarpuling, which came with a table and a couple camping chairs. Even though the pitch was surrounded by other pitches, it was laid out so perfectly that it felt not overlooked at all. We had lots of shade but bright sunny spots too. It was genuinely the best camping pitch I have ever had.

The grounds are just so beautiful. Everything is laid out so perfectly. The toilets were so clean and nice. There was a communal area with sinks to wash up at and everything you could think of to borrow, in case you'd forgotten something, from dustpan and brush, to air mattress pump, to pots and pans. So much thought has gone into this place. And again, everything so clean.

The kids loved the playground, the sandbox, the football pitch, the 'beach ball volleyball net, table tennis. It was perfectly safe to let them go off to play on their own.

And play they did! The fact they had no access to technology (there's not even a phone signal) was such a gift to us. We're a family of phone/tablet addicts and this gave us a chance to really bond. And the kids played hide and seek, tig, duck duck goose, manhunt, football, obstacle courses, and so much more with all the other children on site who they made friends with. Even at 10 pm (curfew is 11 pm) they were playing hide and seek in the dark. Children of all ages, just having fun.

There was so much nature to enjoy. Pheasants made several appearances. The birdsong was beautiful. The place is landscaped so well, with wild flowers all over and lovely fences made out of branches. There's also a trail through the woods.

And there's a forest school on site! Which is an added bonus. We paid to take part in a family fun day and did archery, zip wire, roasted marshmallows, baked bread- there were so many activities and areas to play and learn. Thr kids loved the muddy trampoline.

The owners of the site were so kind and welcoming, nothing seemed any trouble.

I cannot wait to visit again. I feel like I've found a place I can see us going back to year after year. It was truly wonderful.

During many years of camping we have never seen a place like this: a perfect mix of wild nature and a gentle but very imaginative human touch. Both us and our children rated it as the best campsite ever and we've been to many.

Booked the rent a tent at short notice due to car problems. The set up that this place has is amazing. We had everything we needed. It was so relaxing. The hosts are very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Lots of signage around the camp to give you directions. We’ll definitely to visiting again

Lovely campsite that has everything you could need for your stay. The kitchen area is well stocked with crockery, utensils and pans. The toilets were very clean. Squirrels 2 is a large pitch that had ample room for us to relax.
