The 'in nature' feel.This was our first camping trip as a family of four with children aged 4 and 5. They enjoyed the whole experience and loved the site. The forest school and walk through the woods really appealed to them. Despite being first time campers we had brought all our own gear, but needn't have as the hosts, Judith and Anthony, had everything we would have needed. They are lovely host and stopped by to make sure everything was alright, Anthony even gave me insect repellent when I told him I was being bitten. Literally loved everything about it and will defo go back. My partner enjoyed being outdoors with his axe chopping the fire wood and we enjoyed sitting around the fire.

Been bitten by mossies. Though our citronella candle helped.

Location.....we are definitely just off the beaten track, we are about three miles from the nearest town and one mile from the nearest take-away and Spar. We are about two miles from Hoo Zoo, so location has to be for those who love a quiet space, that is unmanned and off-grid.
Value for money...I believe this is a very low score for a beautiful, large pitch with a fire pit, BBQ, one free trug of logs, flush toilets, a hot water shower, hot water washing up facility and kitchen with pots, pans, cutlery & crockery, a large playing field & access to forest school.....all for £25, of which some is the Pitchup fee. If you did not find all of these facilities on our tiny site, then I am sorry, we do have a map on the corner of the camping field.
Accommodation.....I am so sorry your had poor accommodation, but you were in your own tent and not ours, so I guess that is not my fault! Can I suggest an upgrade! From a pitch point of view, you had very little company, so had an entire grassed camping field to yourselves.
Shower....this is located by the kitchen, if you found the kitchen you were just ten steps away from the shower!
Customer service.....everything advertised was there for you, from logs to fire pit etc. We are around to clean every single day, you stayed just one night, we are an unmanned sight, so it would be unlikely that you saw us, on the day you were there we cleaned in the morning, we were around until 3pm as we had visitors looking at the wedding venue, so we were available much of the day. You received your welcome letter and had our phone number.
Child friendliness.....due to constant damage, as explained in your letter, we do need you to bring bats and balls due to constant vandalism, but we provide you with a large field, sand pit, bat and ball net, tree house with slide and access to forest school with a zip wire, den building area, mud kitchen and rope swing. We are a long way from a road and no traffic passes through our camping area. I believe we are very child friendly.
Cleanliness....I am glad you found us to be clean, we do like to leave the odd spider in situe, but try to keep the kitchen and toilets as clean as is possible.

Really lovely amenities, brilliant shower, clean loos and a great layout. Beautiful woodland. Spares of anything could possibly need. Really friendly owners who were so helpful.
