Lets face it it all comes down to how much.....well not as much as you would think! I stayed in the Fox's Den (converted Pig Arc). It was adequately equipped, meaning i just needed bedding, food, change of clothes and toiletries. It is a forest area so anyone not expecting mud when it rains may need to rethink, the latest white Nike trainers are best left at home. The multitude of bird song and the volume seems almost like it was being played back through hidden speakers. I liked the sense of community, like camping used to be! Communications and instructions very clear. Although once on site your mobile becomes a paper weight....that might scare a few people but why not be ok with that?...Something we all need to do more often is to make time and remove ourselves from what we have become and find who we are.

The stay was too short.

It was well a organised camp with everything you need.
Even games that you can play.
We had a pitch with a tent that was already set up for us, it was clean with a stove, cutlery etc.
There was a fire pit and bbq we could use.
Owners were very friendly and it was a fantastic price.
Very good experience, I would recommend and will be going back.

All the little extra touches such as toys for the kids, washing up liquid at the pot washing area. Feminine hygiene products in a little basket in the toilets, lots of camping equipment that can be borrowed.
We stayed 2 adults and 2 small kids in the owls nest and 2 older kids in the foxes den and we have had a brilliant time.

The weather

Upon arrival everything was set up and ready for us. Parking away from the camp made the experience much more authentic and peaceful. The wardens were so friendly and helpful, so we felt welcomed.

Shower is run on a boiler so not always hot water available.

We stayed as a family with two children and a young puppy. The children absolutely loved the forest school site and the little park onsite. The fire pit and wood was a lovely touch and the tent was well equipped, as was the kitchen and toilet facilities!

We didn’t like how close our tent was to the pod next door, the pitch was big but felt as if we had no privacy as our seating areas were close to theirs. We solved this by moving the chairs and fire pit round the side of our tent.
We also didn’t get our email containing all the information until 11pm on the night of our stay, and because of the lack of signal we didn’t actually get it until we got home the next day.

Judie at Wrekin Forest School is lovely and it was a joy to stay there, they are doing an amazing job there and would urge anyone to go and stay to try it out and explore the area

Really good facilities. Clean and comfortable. We only stayed one night with our 5 year old son. On arrival Judie welcomed us, she was ever so lovely. Unfortunately it had rained so much over the past few weeks the surrounding areas had flooded but they had worked so hard to get the site as safe as possible. Really great stay would recommend if you have young kids, had a good kitchen set up too to wash your stuff afterwards, and if you have forgotten anything they had absolutely everything you would need. Had a wonderful stay and would recommend. No wifi and not much signal but thats what you have as a wild camping experience, so nice to be with nature and we say plenty.

Nothing couldnt find anything negative to say about the place.
