The size of the pitch was really good. The on site bar was good.

The shower block was terrible. Upon checking in I was advised that there was only one shower/toilet block in use as the other was being refurbished……why do this in peak season?!?

When I went for a shower Saturday morning at 0830 it was awful. There are three cubicles, one with a bath and two for showers. One of the cubicles for the showers didn’t lock.

There was no where to put my stuff while in the shower. I had to try and hang everything up on dodgy hooks which wasn’t easy.

I’ve done a lot of camping over the years and these were the worst shower/toilet facilities I’ve come across.

Most of the places I’ve been to have a dry area in the cubicle where you can put your clothes, toiletries and towel without worrying of anything falling on the floor.

The tiles and grouting was pretty grotty and chipped badly. The actual shower once pressed lasted for about 10 seconds which is not really a decent time. I had to keep it pressed down to be able to rinse off properly.

The basins in the block were all in a terrible state other than two of them. There was mud and general dirt in them.

I messaged a few days before arriving and asked if there was a power point in there to be able to straighten my hair at a mirror..I was advised there was but there wasn’t anything.

The breakfast we ordered at just gone 0900 and by 0940 we hadn’t received our order. I went and asked on the status as we had to pick up a friend at the ferry.

They asked where we ordered, we confirmed and then they advised they didn’t have our order and apologised and said we would be the next to get our breakfast. These things happen so we were ok with that.

Our breakfast then came out but it wasn’t hot at all and we had to ask again for our toast. We didn’t want to raise about the temperature of the food due to time constraints.

For the size of the campsite it’s pretty poor that there was only one shower/toilet block available.

As this is a Parkdean Resort I was expecting a better standard than what we actually had.

We’re aiming to camp over the Isle of Wight again next year but I’ll be giving this site a miss!

Well kept grounds

On arrival 19:30 there was nobody on reception, there was a sign saying go to entertainment complex a see a member of staff. We didn't know where this was, as we had never been here before.
when we did find it the security guard said he didn't have my name down, he said what static I was booked on, I said I am with my tourer.
He then gave me a map and pitch number, and said sorry there is no welcome pack or passes for me and stated that it is because the staff are all young kids.
This was a bit of a dampener on out first night there, we went and found our pitch and set up.
The next morning I went to the reception to complain about our previous evening arrival, which was very unprofessional, to be told they don`t know what happened, they weren't on shift that day.
Talk about passing the buck!
I do not think we will be using Parkdean Resorts for any of our other holiday stays.

Nice and clean campsite with facilities.

We booked a pitch with the electricity access, but unfortunately being hikers we do not carry with ourselves adapters and extension leads, so we couldn't charge our devices.
For hikers it is difficult to reach and far from the bus stop. The taxi is also difficult to catch in the morning.

Nice views from campsite, 10min walk to beech.Staff very friendly

Unable to take dog into entertainment area even though site said it was dog friendly, so unable to use arcades or restaurant. Will need leveling ramps as site is on a slope.

Where do I start, the showers and wc were incredibly poor, showers with no seats, or shelves and water running for 5 seconds, missing tiles and mould round edges, lady in the shop told me they did'nt sell fuses, when asking man at checkout where nearest shop to get some was he told me they sold them, which they did.
we will certainly never be returning

Pitch far too uneven, especially as it’s hard standing. Wheels sunk in the ground. Very slow flow of water.
