We paid £50 a night for what was advertised as a Deluxe adults-only pitch. Instead, we were placed on an unused lodge pitch beside the fishing lake at the adjoining Coole Acres Fishery. Unfortunately, it wasn’t set up for motorhomes or caravans – there was no proper water connection or grey waste drain. I had to unhook everything and go off in search of a tap just to refill.
The pitch also wasn’t managed, which meant children were constantly wandering through our area to fish. Some left their gear, beer cans, and rubbish behind for days. We usually tether our dogs on the grass in front of our pitch, but this wasn’t possible with people sitting there, and at one point I even had words with a grandfather who admitted they hadn’t paid to fish.
Part of the reason for our trip was to view the Coole Acres lodges with a retirement purchase in mind. Sadly, when we went across to look at the supposedly idyllic setting, we were really put off – the lakeside was littered with rubbish, and half a dozen teenagers and men were hanging around shirtless, drinking beer. That’s not at all what we had in mind for our retirement.
On top of all that, the pitch was also a fair walk from the toilets and elsan point. Overall, the whole stay fell far short of “deluxe” and was very disappointing, especially given the premium price.

Thank you for your review. Glad you enjoyed your stay
Unfortunatley we have to take into consideration all other guest staying on sight that don't want kids running round all night. We have to take all customers into consideration even though its lights nights.. There is still safety of kids especially younger ones That's why our rules say kids must be back at there own pitch at 9pm.
Most customers love the 80's swings But we do plan on removing it after the summer
hope we see you all again
