We have never needed a gated entrance but next time maybe chose to pitch further away from the entrance after all the non ehu field is undesignated pitches so you guys choose.
Specify what dogs come is extremely difficult after all it's maybe more about certain owners than certain breeds. In the 8 years we been running I have been bitten twice by collies, owned by campers. Do we ban collies???
The pond has planned works but also we feel pond users need some nurturing too.
So glad you are looking at coming back.
Prices compared to other sites we feel are very fair, after all we charge no extras so to answer your feedback we didn't charge for your dog nor would we charge for awnings, gazebos, windbreak, kids, parking, showers, shop is cheap, so is the cafe & bar etc etc etc. Plus don't detract from our purpose which is primarily funding our animal rescuing

Me and my friend each with a campervan parked up with my poodle (there is an enclosed dog yard for your pooches to run around off lead) , there are donkeys, alpaca, sheep, goats, pigs, loads of friendly embden geese, and a big highland cow...all of which seem pretty friendly. We parked in the 'off-grid' section which I'm glad about, the EHU spaces were much more busy, but the 'wild' camping area had much more space.

Accomodating hosts who placed us next to my friend.Не понравилось: Got to be honest I had really high hopes for here we had been reccomended by some friends.
Firstly yes it's a farm, but it feels unclean... We saw a rat in one of the bird areas (dead) and to be honest really did put us off going to see the bird area, the guinea pigs and rabbits and ferrets are living in very small conditions and I feel they need more space.
The water hose we used to get drinking water was found regularly on the floor and I wonder how clean the water is coming out of a hose pipe. Would be better for a shorter hose and then clean it daily in sterilising solution instead of having large area of water in pipe.
The pitches were uneven and sandy. Again I appreciate mainly due to children however we saw no one raking or attending to ground after people had left.
The fishing lake also needs some attention- may be due to end of season but maybe overfed due to kids but didn't catch more than a goldfish in 2 days.
Rowdy visitors who drunk and we're speeding around the site made me feel on edge with it being a family friendly site.
The wet rooms were sandy... I know inevitable really however the holes for drainage with no grates on made me worry about any rodents visiting.
The park area also had quite a lot of nettles around and bringing toddlers into it they couldn't use easily as unaware to avoid nettles. Some of the equipment broken and no sign attached to inform visitors

You are going to see the odd mouse or rat as we live in the countryside, we keep animals and their feed.
We have measures in place for these pests.
Our small animals have good sized runs & houses, far greater than hutches etc.
Every tap in the amenities area is drinking water but so many campers elect to use the hoses to obtain their drinking water. We will cut one shorter though so it doesnt touch the floor.
The comment regarding uneven ground is somewhat unfair. Children dig in sand and parents/carers allow it but don't then backfill.
We don't also have chance to check pitches during changeover but we do make immediate repairs when aware of risks. We too drag and roll the camping areas when empty enough.
Plenty of fish get caught and the sport is called fishing not catching. Lack of catching can be down to a number of reasons but here overfeeding won't be an issues. On the contrary many underfeed and don't attract the fish.
We had a high performance sports car on site one night and a number of campers wanted an experience in it. The guy did two small runs but take on board it made you uncomfortable and apologise for that
The edges around the site do have nettles etc and we regularly cut them back but it is the country and any nettles are well enough away from park activities.
The only broken part at the moment was a raised trampoline that someone kindly cut the bed across the middle. We closed up the netting and removed the ladder so children couldn't access this.
