Не понравилось: The shop could do with a fresh meat section. More frequently cleaned toilets ( not necessarily there fault, just dirty people). Maybe better when warmer and dryer as the site was a bit muddy especially with the geese going everywhere.

Its super dog friendly, with a secure dog run. You are surrounded by rescue animals, this definitely makes me smile to see their happy faces 😊, they're so well cared for. The 2nd time I brought my dad with me and we had the whole site to ourselves. Elisha (please forgive me if I've not spelt your name correctly) is a diamond, I think she loves dogs more than I do! Maggie says hi 🐾. There is also a forest walk close by but we haven't been able to go as of yet due to weather conditions. Looking forward to another few days hopefully by the end of the year.
Не понравилось: This is not a dislike, just a notice for dogs with noise sensitivity. There was a little shooting on site and crow scarers throughout the day (the scarers was not on last time). My elderly dog found it very stressful unfortunately. So I'd double check for next time if the site has any shooting planned and if they know if the bangers will be on before we book. Again I stress this is not a dislike just a heads up 😊

We had developed a slight rat issue around the lake and last week was the first chance we had to resolve that issue.
We hoped to have finished by time you arrived but friends had to fish off when we went away.
They had ' not disturbing visitirs' in mind so hopefully you were disturbed only to a minimum.
Usual then is no shooting on site.

Arrived and found out we had forgotten our electric cable and Ian was very helpful and lent us one. Lovely large pitch near the horses, the site was very well managed, great bar/cafe area, food fantastic and good choice of alcoholic/ hot ot cold drinks. staff and Ian always around and helpful and friendly, animals great (kids loved them), the showers were beautifully hot. Couldn't fault the place. So tranquil, the children felt safe to go to animals or park themselves which gave me and my partner some alone time which we don't often get. Could have stopped longer if it wasnt for work lol. We loved it so much we have already booked for next year for the full week but may return sooner for another one nighters.

Не понравилось: This was our 2nd stay here. Last was around 6 years ago & we loved it so was really looking forward to returning but this time to be honest we were disappointed of how it had changed for the worse. Upon arrival there was a lack of information regarding pitch allocations. The water point didn’t work. The only water point available had the attached hose for drinking water dropped in mud.
The facilities were so dirty they were not useable.
The kids play area was in disrepair & the toddler part had nettles surrounding it.
The pitches are not set up for touring. The ground is very uneven.
Litter left by previous guests on the pitches & dog poo everywhere.
The site felt dirty. I appreciate it’s on a farm but it needs quite a bit of TLC & responsibility taken by the owners.
I am sad you felt this way but take offence with some of your comments.
You will struggle to find more responsible & upstanding owners, who go well above & beyond to ensure everyone has a fabulous time.
So many of the reviews identify this as too the cleanliness of our facilities.
So many of your comments are user based. I.e. dog muck, litter, uneven ground and water hoses left in the mud.
We too have many options for drinking water so there was just not one available.
It was pointed out to us that weekend about that particular hose and we shortened the hose so it wouldn't touch the ground again.
We have an allocations board on arrival that tells you your pitch if you are on ehu. Non ehu campers have the freedom to camp in undesignated pitches so we don't allocate.
The water tap had been overtightened and wouldn't turn off so we isolated that one tap for the weekend but it was replaced as soon as we could get to plumbers merchant on the Monday.
Facilities are regularly cleaned yet within minutes some users can leave them in disgusting conditions.
When we check them if they are minging we clean again. Again testimony from so many reviews confirm this. To say they were unusable is unfair and not accurate.
The ground us uneven because so many caravaners rely on motor movers which dig up the ground. Dog and kids are not stopped from digging nor the damage repaired by carers.
However the week before you arrived we had dragged and rollered the ground repairing much of the digging from the summer hols.
Again the play area is in disrepair as someone slit open the base of one trampoline with something and children unsupervised dig in the play area, undermining items. Yes there are nettles, we are in the country side, not a haven site but all hedges and edges are trimmed back so they are not invasive.
Many tourers use us and regularly return so it may be your opinion but it is not fact that our pitches are not set up for tourers.
Any issues with litter or dog mess are addressed by us as soon as we identify them or if brought to our attention.
None of what you have remarked on was spoken about during your stay. You did not give us an option to address any for you nor have you put any responsibility on the user.
We work exceptionally hard here and so often a lack of acknowledgement or respect is afforded us by some campers.
Yes the site feels dirty at times, it does to us which is so sad and infuriating hence the tone of this response.
We give 24/7 TLC to the site. Unfortunately it's some of the users that don't and your review is totally laying responsibility to us the owners and you are out of order.
As for the accommodation score. You didn't stop in one of our statics, bring your own accommodation with you, so giving us a 2 for the standard or quality of your caravan is very unfair

We have tried allsorts of provisions in shop, including meats, cheese etc but we don't sell it and we have to chuck it.
We do stock milk n bread at a slight loss but at least the animals can use these when dated.
To guarantee clean toilets all of the time we would need to stand on patrol around the toilets. We can't do this nor would campers like us to. We simply need more campers to work in partnership more with regards respect & hygiene.
The ground generally is very good, due to the sandy content.
We are considering alternative surfaces for the pitches.
