Pond needs a bit of tlc

Fabulous! Our 3 year old toddler was delighted, visiting and feeding the animals. Lovely little shop, super friendly atmosphere, clean toilets/showers, handy washing up/laundry area, the “trust run” system enabled us to further teach the little one about honesty. We will visit again. Ideal place for families. And the pitching spaces are level and very spacious.

This site was our perfect site. It was so relaxed and easy going. There is a gang of geese and ducks wandering around and a cat lounging about. We pitched up and had full sun all day and evening. There is a very well stocked shop where you can buy milk, ice cream, beer, toys and loads more - there is also a gift shop. Both shops have honesty boxes. I bought a hoodie which is very nice. There are 2 toilet/shower rooms which are kept very clean. Also a washing room and washing machine. We bought cups of animal feed from the shop (50p a cup) and fed the animals both days we were there. There are pigs, goats, donkeys, sheep, llamas and our favourite a highland cow that was so gentle and sweet. The greediest animal was the brown mountain goat but he was very loveable. We had a wonderful time and are definitely planning on returning.

Such a lovely site tucked away on the edge of a forest run by a delightful couple. We visit regularly as day visitors & the children have wanted to stay over night for ages & they loved every minute! They enjoyed spending time with the animals & making friends in the play area & we enjoyed the peace, quiet & relaxing atmosphere. Only 2 showers but lots of hot water. A very nice touch is the honesty shop - you can shop for anything you need & pay Josie when you leave. Would highly recommend if you want to get back to nature & relax.

Stayed a few times before kids and now with a 3 year old and 18 month old!
My girls loved the animals and eldest enjoyed fishing with her dad.
They also loved the park area - came back to the camper filthy but that’s what it’s all about!
Well stocked shop, decent prices in the shop and bait shop too.
My girls loved feeding the animals and even got to stroke a baby rabbit (thank you!)
Decent flat pitch for electric hook up, good sized pitches too.
Didn’t have any trouble getting a shower or toilet through out the weekend.
Great and friendly owners and staff. The young lad didn’t stop all weekend - sorting the animals or keeping the site clean and tidy.
We think you’re all doing a wonderful job especially under the circumstances!

Didn’t dislike anything, however the park equipment could just do with a little clean, especially the under 5s bit as it is under trees but not the end of the world.
The showers/toilets weren’t as clean as previous years. However, I did see a lot of unsupervised children using the facilities especially when enjoying the kids park. That said I also saw the toilets being cleaned so not entirely the owners fault. Maybe parents just need to keep a better eye on their own children!
The toilets and showers could just do with a bit of a freshen up.

Where do I start. We arrived at 2 o'clock and the place was packed. We were told to pitch anywhere however people had tents and cars all over the place leaving very little space then everyone kept complaining that we had blocked the path (which we hadn't). The small number of toilets were no where near enough for everyone although they were clean but in disrepair. The toilets were quite a distance from pitches but close to campers and caravans which makes zero sense. We were booked for 2 nights but only spent 1 night and came home a day early. The place is managed badly, was dirty with litter everywhere and very disorganized. Lesson learned, we will definitely not be visiting again.

A lovely 2 night stay, very welcoming. Peaceful, although nearly full, it was not over crowded and thrtes plenty of space. We love the surroundings of the sanctuary - the animals are such a treat!. The woods nearby make for a great walk too. Good facilities on site. Went beyond expectations. Cant wait to book again.
