Не понравилось: When first arrived given 3 pages of rules , felt a bit weary while staying there due to how many rules there are. Wasn't keen on how you don't get a choice where you pitch, it felt very uniform , people separated from there friends, quiet couples forced to be right next to rowdy children ( like mine).
They took all the swings away from the park area due to some kids messing about on them. Wish they would have just spoken to the parents instead, ruined it for the rest of the kids
I do understand that this is proabbly all in place to keep the campsite so nice. Just very different to what we're used to.
We are pleased you liked our facilities and the 3 pages of rules are not rules, the first page gives you site rules plus safety information i.e. campfires need grass shield & 4 in off the ground, quite time is 10.30pm & also including bus & taxi information.
The 2nd other sheet is the site map & an extra half sheet with the Wales recycling information for your convenience.
We have pitch allocation yes but also if not should an emergency occur how do we find you and your children? There are photo on pitchup showing pitches plus on your email confirmation from our site.
The swing were removed due to a safety issue and once resolved they were refitted we think better safe than sorry, and we did speak to the parents of the group of children who caused the damage.
Your pitch was near the facilities as you requested & you had a new baby and if it wasn't for allocation of pitches you could have been much further away from the facilities

I enjoy the hills surrounding the site and the waterfall a 5 minute walk away. It’s not too remote either with plenty of shops just a 5 minute drive away, which always comes in handy. Also nearby is a castle and a pub that serves wonderful food at reasonable prices and has plenty of history to it. Each time I have stayed here the owners are making the site better and better, now having better toilet facilities and a park for the little ones to enjoy. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay and relax, then I recommend this place.

Site 2 has free hot pot wash, free night toilets a free hot shower and an Elson tipping point if required so a little better than basic we think.

Very sorry you seem so unhappy with our campsite facilities if I may make one or 2 points on your comments.
1st the disabled unit shower & toilet that has a small ramp access for wheelchairs and is also large enough to accommodate a helper if needed, the toilet is a composting unit and you don't need to decide what you wish to pass only to remember to slide a shutter and after use put a scoop of composting material in, some campsite only have composting toilets we have both (flushing toilets but up steps). The locks have a combination that you were given and is to stop misuse.
2nd You are on a campsite that raises funds for our pet rescue centre it a field very well laid out, but if you require totally flat remember you are in the country side not on a golf course, and people in wheelchairs manage very well along with most disabled walking wounded type including myself (my joints are affected because of leukaemia and having lost a lung with cancer so I can't really understand your comments.
3rd point In the country side the famers grow crops so they don't want to shoot birds but require the birds to stay of the crops they have a gas gun No bullets or shot just a bang. If the birds decimate the crops you won't have grain for food so the choice is yours.
4th point the reason for not flying kites on site 1 is simply there are overhead power cables, kites are flown on site 2 without issue..
5th issue we have placed Astro turf down as camper have a grass type layer to pitch tents we ask if possible to have a breathable ground sheet, if all campers could we would not have to put Astro turf down because the grass has died. we definitely cant please all the people all the time no matter how hard we try

2 new portaloo's where provided whist awaiting the large effluent tanks to be emptied as there was only a few campers on site it was not a major problem and if we hadn't extended your stay you would have missed the experience of a portaloo for 1 day

The showers have individual gas water heaters so perhaps you didn't turn the tap fully on as they work off the water pressure, you should have mentioned it to the staff to double check them, but other campers didn't seem to have any issue.
