Lovely site, wardens were lovely people, really helpful and friendly.
Facilities were excellent and toilet/showers spotless. Lovely walks along the canal. Really enjoyed the stay.

The electric meter was clearly malfunctioning. We were there for just two nights in our caravan. My sister and her husband were there in their motorhome. We both put £10 on the meter. We were barely in our caravan, boiled the kettle a few times, barely watched TV, our heating was gas. We had to top up the electric with £2 put in the evening before we left. It ran out in the middle of the night. My sister had her lights on constantly, TV on, kettle on, etc, we spent both evenings in their motorhome to keep the dog company 😂 and when they left at the same time as us they had used less than £5. I appreciate that £12 is not a lot of money but something isn't right. Apparently other people had the same problem as us.
Apart from this niggle though, we loved the place.

Showers were lovely and hot and all facilities were spotlessly clean. 10 minutes walk to nearest pub and bus stop. Short bus ride into Retford town. Lovely town with plenty of shops. Campsite very secure with security barrier to get in and out also very clean and welcoming site. The people who run the site were very friendly and came to check in with us once we were settled to see if all was OK. Thank you for a lovely stay. Trev & Julie

This was our first motorhome adventure and we were not disappointed! The Olive Tree is tranquil, peaceful and spotlessly clean. Showers, toilets and washbasins were pristine, they had good lighting and music playing inside. Washing up area with lots of hot water, also kept lovely and clean. Very good recycling facilities and all clearly labelled.
Tracey and Andy were so helpful and informative without being invasive.
Ideal location for walks along the canal tow path with pubs to visit.
We had a lovely time and will definitely be returning. Thank you!

Very friendly staff, immaculately clean toilet/shower block with little extra touches like flowers, soap bottles and hairdryer. Near lots of walks, local pub. Peaceful location. Gated premises which staff have to operate so felt nice and safe.

Well maintained site with superb facilities. Toilet/ Shower block was immaculate, excellent pitches. I stayed with my adult daughter and we felt totally safe and really enjoyed our stay. The wardens were great and very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again 😁

The price of the electric was quite high. As a guide, we had £4 electric which lasted us from about 12 noon to the following morning (7am) and we only used the microwave once, coffee machine twice and put the heating on for 1 hour.

Friendly staff very helpful. Spotlessly clean facilities and very well kept pitches. Would definitely recommend.

Lack of cubicles with sinks in the ladies shower block.

Quiet, clean and friendly. Short drive to Retford centre. Lovely walk along the canal to pub, restaurant and Retford Town centre.
