Nice well looked after small site , lovely setting and very quiet would definitely go back again

Really clean and large pitches. A quiet site.

To be fair, I have absolutely NO complaints as everything was exactly as advertised. Here’s a few things for people to consider if they’re camping at this site. The ground was stony in patches under the grass which meant we struggled getting a few pegs in the ground. I would have liked somewhere to charge my phone - so if you’re not on an electric hook up, take a power pack. The shower head can’t be moved, so take a shower cap if you don’t want to wash your hair while showering. I hope this helps.

Millfield is a good site. Level pitch - absolutely level if you have the pitch we had! The washrooms are in 2 different locations. The permanently built washrooms house 1 bathroom for women and one for men - comprising shower, washbasin and toilet, with a low powered hand drier - unfortunately located just over the basin which means you trigger the air dryer if you lean closely over the washbasin! The shower is very good. Plenty of power and room to move inside the shower cubicle. Spiders tend to frequent the ladies’ washroom more than the men’s! The other rented washroom facility is fine. Two toilets, one small shower and a washbasin. There is no reception to the site, but a new sign indicates the pitches and someone writes your name against the pitch you are allocated. Electrics are only 6 Amps, so you may not get your Alde heating working along with everything else - if you are so blessed. The site is clean and the owners, if you meet them are very friendly and helpful. Access to Richmond is easy - 8 minutes away by car. It is quiet even though it is relatively close to the A1. We spent 2 days here e route to the Lake District for the south. It was very easy to reach for the A1 and easy to get back onto the A1. No low bridges or difficult roads to contend with for motor homes.

Number of washrooms could be a problem if the site became busy - but no problems for us on this visit.

Have stayed here before- really like this site. It has large pitches, clean facilities and lovely owners.

Lovely clean and quiet site. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Bus service to Richmond 10 minute walk away. Visited Kiplin Hall on bikes. Will definitely stay here again.

Large pitch area shop and friendly pub just down the road . Nice walks and river near by . Maybe a little map or something to show how to walk safely to abbey and such.

Could do with more than one washing station and better signage to the site . Also people leaving at daft o clock in the morning not owner’s fault people should be more considerate of other people.

Not clear how to find entrance to men's toilets had to go through bin area to back of ladies toilets
Lot of fellow campers like myself left walking about trying to find these things.

Lovely campsite. Well opporated and extremely clear. Toilets showers and amenities were great.

Not really a dislike just an annoyance couldn’t get the tent pegs in very far so all bent.

Nice small site easy access to richmond

Was spoilt by site having a and b on our pitch what wasn't signed well no sign saying a or b just number we ended off in the wrong one unintentionally made feel very uncomfortable when other guest came and to be told that they were going to tell us to move even tho it only said pitch 12 not a or b made to feel so uncomfortable I was going to pack up and go home

Nice quiet site. Not too busy.
