This is our third year back here and it’s our favourite site we’ve stayed on. Claire is lovely and is always very welcoming. We stayed on a weekend with continual rain and Claire had contacted us beforehand to offer us the opportunity to change our booking if we wished for when the forecast had improved. Tell me where else would give you that option?! That’s amazing customer service! As we were attending the Cheshire Balloon Fiesta at Bolesworth the following day we opted to keep our booking - Just to note Bolesworth is 5 minutes down the road so the site is perfectly situated as a base for attending any events there.
As always the site was immaculate and incredibly peaceful. We love that there is a well equipped kitchen ,in a converted stable block, free to use which definitely comes in handy if you’re on a non electric pitch. It also means washing up is done under cover and there’s even a cat to keep you company whilst you’re doing the dishes!
I’ve read a few complaints about the toilet but on the 3 occasions we’ve stayed there none of us has had to wait to use it so it’s never been an issue for us. It’s only a small site so 2 toilets are sufficient. I’ve only used the one in the main part of the stable block and it is always clean with hand soap and air freshener available. We didn’t use the shower facilities this time but I’m really pleased that one has been installed as it means we will be able to stay for longer stints in future.
In regards to comments about the phone signal it was intermittent but again that wasn’t an issue and is to be expected in a rural setting.
This is the place to go if you’re after somewhere to switch off and just relax. You can while away the time watching the horses and just breathing in the fresh country air and enjoying the silence. It’s honestly good for soul!

The site was well looked after no rubbish or loose animals the shower room was a bit dated but suitable for those with mobility problems.

Our first dislike was that there was no phone signal or WiFi. The main issue with this site is the driveway it is lined with a large fence which is not set upright so in consequence our caravan now has a long dent that runs the length on one side. Owners of large caravans may want to consider elsewhere. The owner of the site was very apologetic and did say the fence will be looked at.

Claire (campsite owner ) was lovely and showed us the facilities onsite as we arrived .Great price and quiet which was nice as well.would recommend to others.

Lovely little camp site with fresh water, horses and chickens, lovely little kitchen with everything you could possible need.

Lovely,peaceful site. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We went into malpas which is a really nice village.

Could do with an extra toilet.
