Said there was pizza oven on advert but turned out this was only on Saturdays (which we didn’t find out until we got there).
Although there was a shop on-site, this was limited and was not open when we arrived, you need to phone the owner to open it.
The shower block and water at the top of the site near the pitches was closed, meaning a long walk down to main entrance for this, although toilets were open.
Was also quite expensive, paid £30 for non electric pitch with not many facilities and not much in walking distance.

This campsite has a fantastic view of Lathkill Dale and has loads of room for you to set up camp. Surrounded by fields, this spot is ideal for a relaxing weekend away. Plenty of walks and exciting things to do. The sandwich and pizza vans over the weekend were a great addition and were very popular. The owner was very chatty and helpful.

The shower and toilet block was very old and run down. They didn't appear to be cleaned during our 3 night stay. The new additional toilet and shower block which should be open soon will definitely improve things as long as a cleaner is hired! The pot wash facilities were small so the volume of people on site and again weren't cleaned and maintained. Unfortunately other campers were respectful and didn't tidy up after themselves. The site was very busy, with more and more people arriving over the weekend. The field we occupied on Thursday night by ourselves had more than 20 vehicles and tents by the Sunday! This site was maybe a little busier than we usually liked but was ok for 3 nights.

Unfortunately The new shower facilities weren’t open due to plumbing issues even though review comments mention they are. Half the new toilets were open but didn’t seem to have hot water.
The much older facilities were open but there was always water across the facility floor from the showers and the basins had poor water pressure. We didn’t have showers.
People tended to leave rubbish by the new facilities even though there is no bins. The bins are close to the entrance.
Don’t rely on Annie’s kitchen being open at the weekend especially if it’s quite and you won’t know until it just doesn’t open.

Old toilet block a long walk from the tent pitches, new toilet block only had 3 female toilets and no showers. One of the locks kept breaking & locking people in, one has a loo seat that doesn't stay up. Only 3 female and 3 male showers for the entire site at the moment. (4 huge fields!!!). I appreciate the upgrades are happening, but they should already be available ready for the season.

Relaxed set up, decent facilities, super helpful and easy to get hold of owners.

Really friendly owners and a well maintained site. Great walks from the site and a great location to explore the Peak District. Very dog friendly and felt very safe as a solo traveller

Beautiful location. Owners really friendly. Firepits. Small selection of food items available to buy in reception.

Generators for food trucks ridiculously loud. Switched off at dusk and started up again at 7.20 was enough to ruin our stay.

New facilities whilst smart/clean are not properly up and running so multiple teething issues - but not told at check in so found out as we needed to use them : no hot water, dish washing sinks not connected, ladies toilets stopped flushing at night, door to one toilet lock fell off and somone got stuck, not enough toilets for amount of people as site fairly empty and a continuous queue. Appreciate there are facilities at the bottom of the hill but a long plod down to pay a visit.

Dish washing facilities at bottom of hill fairly grubby and only lukewarm water.
Price is high when facilities not up to standard.
