Space, views, excellent customer service, food trucks on site, accessibility to villages via foot

Location and access to some beautiful walks a walkers paradise.

The campsite is one of our favourites, I have been coming here since I was 14 and doing my D of E, I've returned many times over the years and it just keeps getting better. The family run campsite is great for kids who can play on the rope swings and run through the woods, my son always makes friends when we stay. The family who run the campsite are really friendly and accommodating and they have made some real improvements over the years. The most recent being 12 lovely showers and toilets which have just been installed and a really amazing. Probably the best I've been too in a campsite. The fact the campsite still accommodates all different family groups and staying using different methods all whilst being great value for money is fab. We had a camp fire each night we stayed in our fire pit and my children enjoyed toasting marshmallows and cooking over a campfire. At the weekends there was a breakfast and evening meal van and also another vendor doing wood fired pizza. We didn't use them as we had planned meals but the smell wafting across the site was lovely and a nice option should it be needed. There is loads to do close by but we opted for short drives to explore the area and we visited the Peak District Railway, Biked the Monsal Trail end to end and stopped for ice creams, we also went climbing on Baslow Edge and completed the Chee Dale stepping stones walk in the evening which was so peaceful.

Hot food available on site was amazing and the site has direct access to Lathkill Dale for beautiful scenes and hikes. New shower and toilet facilities to cater for the amount of people on site were excellent. Despite the amount of people on site, it didn't feel crowded.

A very busy site which means more people and more noise and lights. I was also unlucky to be visiting at the same time as during what I can only imagine a local bull was visiting the ladies on the farm who was loud consistently 24/7 without fail. He (or maybe she) mooe'd loudly from the moment I arrived to the moment I left, but such is farm life!

Absolutely loved our stay; campsite, views, space, food and facilities - brilliant. I was on my own with two small kids (5 & 3), and it felt safe, easy and relaxed. The owners are such good friendly people too.

The only thing was there was a group of guys camping directly behind us - they were having fun around their fire both nights until late, which I didn’t want to disturb but it was a bit noisy.

Excellent location.
Very friendly welcome on arrival , would highly recommend to others and would very much stay again.

Beautifully located, wonderful views, great host, easy walk into bakewell.
Lots of tents but lots of space

Nothing really to dislike, the only thing to mention was the showers down in the calming area were not working/ ready.

Well loved everything. The owners were friendly on arrival, small shop set up if required. Toilets and showers that were regularly cleaned as well as large sinks for washing up outside. The site is broken down into smaller fields by the trees, so even when busy it felt private. Amazing walk towards the bottom of the site and incredible views. Will be coming back!

Very clean facilities and amazing views from the fields. Ideal location and is close to Bakewell, which obviously has amazing tarts!
