Staff were friendly and down to earth
Brand new shower and toilet blocks

We thought there was going to be pizzas on site but this was only weekends and we visited on a thursday so probably our mistake.
Other places have more facilities on site for the same cost per night but that wouldnt stop us going back.

Easy to find the campsite, well signposted, owner was welcoming on arrival. Chose our pitch and we set up camp, there was plenty of space to choose from. On the way in at half 5, someone was cleaning the toilets which was a good sign to me straight away as every time I used to camp elsewhere as a teen the toilets and showers would be gross which made me hate camping and here I am, now 25 first time camping again after refusing to go for 9 years and got the bug for camping after seeing how amazingly spotless and well kept these facilities were😂 Enough rambling, theres also an area to wash up dirty dishes. Had a sausage barm from the food van which was good. The night before, tried to get a pizza from the food van but had unfortunately sold out at about 8pm, so be quick! Theres a shop onsite, rope swing for kids and plenty of field space for ball games.

Quiet campsite, everyone stuck to the noise rules between the said hours except from the cows🤣🤦🏻‍♀️ they really did make us all laugh hearing them moo’ing as it got later on.

When we left, reception was closed so we assumed we didnt need to let anyone know about our departure and drove on home. Thanks for a great stay!

It’s a beautiful site with fantastic views. There’s loads of space, good toilet facilities and really friendly owners - we had a brilliant time and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful site with everything you need.

Mmmm the view from bottom field

Everything else. We’ve tried many sites now and this was hands down the worst in every way. The field had dog mess all over it, there was a 11pm “quiet time” that wasn’t enforced with big groups. The new shower unit close to the camping fields was always locked and the wash up area was only cold water. The showers at the main reception are the worst I’ve ever used and would have felt cleaner with my mums spit and hanky. No pressure, didn’t drain probably because of excess pubes and grass. Oh and random men using the women’s showers is a big no no. To top it all off, the so called shop was never open.

The views were outstanding, nice and quiet, plenty of space and spaces, and the amenities were nice.

The shop needs to be better equipped - so much potential space to sell things people might need.

Fire pits. Space. Friendly staff. Location. Clean and warm showers. Many toilets. Fridge freezer. Electric sockets for phones. Washing up spaces.....cats and cows.

Said there was pizza oven on advert but turned out this was only on Saturdays (which we didn’t find out until we got there).
Although there was a shop on-site, this was limited and was not open when we arrived, you need to phone the owner to open it.
The shower block and water at the top of the site near the pitches was closed, meaning a long walk down to main entrance for this, although toilets were open.
Was also quite expensive, paid £30 for non electric pitch with not many facilities and not much in walking distance.
