Great location close to the river for lovely walks, dog friendly and spotlessly clean showers and toilets. It was quiet but I think when full it could be hard to have a peaceful spot.

Just feedback. It’s good to have a family area and an adults only area for future.

Really lovely campsite. The managers/owners were so friendly and helpful, their dog is lovely btw, and the site itself is large with plenty of space in the camping field. I had read the reviews where people described the shower/toilet faciity, but as someone who has camped for many years I feel that the facilities here are standard camping fare, and were nice and clean, with hot water and plenty of toilet roll and paper towels. I think some people have been spoiled by the glamping era! We met some lovely people caravanning and had a great time drinking and chatting arround the campfire - you can hire firepits and buy wood. The site is dog friendly and everyone was very respectful of space. The village is very pretty and has a train station to get to Nottingham or Newark/Lincoln, about a 20 min walk from the campsite. The Waggon & Horses pub in the village is sooo nice, so pretty, friendly and with lovely beers and the best pizza I have had in a long time! The river isn't far away and you can walk along it to other villages and pubs I believe, but we didn't have time. We will definitely return. It's a nice alternative when visiting a city to get back out to the open aie at the end of the day instead of staying in a hotel, and much better value!

Facilities were amazing, we have a 5 month old so having a kettle available made our camping experience easier, nice hot shower and clean toilets! Everyone was extremely friendly, lovely local pub 10 mins walk away. Would definitely stay again

The owners were friendly, it was near a nice riverside walk. As we were staying in term time we had the site mostly to ourselves.

The toilets and showers left a lot to be desired. I had read that they were cleaned 4 times a day, I saw no evidence of this, the shower I used had tiles hanging off the wall.

Quiet tranquil site. Very rural. Close to River Trent. Dog friendly. Well maintained, clean toilet block. Communal kitchen. BBQ facility. Close to a number of market towns. Good pubs close to site.

Refuse / recycling compound was a bit chaotic and confusing.

Fantastic camp site. clean, tidy and good walks near by.

Tent pitch was flat and god for laying and sleeping on.

Hardly any noise. some cracking pubs near by.

Showers and toilets are well kept, absolutely no issues with having a warm shower.

That I had to leave, was peaceful
