Communal facilities, showers and toilets

Rubbish everywhere. People fighting late at night. People shouting. For a campsite that caters for hundreds there is 3 showers and 3 toilets each. Although cleaned often. Elsinore point is part of a rubbish tip where campers dump everything. No grey waste point unless you use the hedge. Try to strike conversations with fellow Campervan owners and can’t get by the negativity of the site. Will never come back. Would be better suited as a development site.

Good location, very easy to check in. Nice that spaces were unallocated so we could pick where we wanted to go. Field was big enough to get a quiet space.

Friendly staff, flexibility to pitch anywhere.

Shower cubicles too small so clothes get damp, kids roaming wild until late, ditto loud drunk young adults.

Peaceful site. Easy access to water. Toilets were the usual camping toilet block which were cleaned regularly and stocked with toilet roll. The showers were hot.
Washing up area was clean although only had a small hot water tank so it did run out at busy times but heated back up quickly. Use of kettle, microwave and freezers was very handy.
We had a large area as stayed with family in several tents which was great for the younger kids in our group. They had plenty of space to play. Our request to be pitched together was kindly accommodated.
I would advise that the site only takes cash to pay the remaining balance on arrival. Thank you to previous reviews mentioning this, we were all prepared.

The space lots of space,
Showers amazing clean and hot.
Toilet area clean and always well stocked.
Pot washing area with additional toaster, kettle, microwave,freezer and fridge to use aswel.
Well maintained secure site gated entrance and cctv in areas.
We liked it that much we booked again while on site for week after.

Easy check in. Relaxed site. Nice and quiet.
Read a lot of reviews beforehand slating the toilets and showers. Yes they’re not in the most modern building with up to date shinny tiles and polished floors but they’re far from the standards described by some. They serve their purpose. The showers were always hot, toilets fully stocked with toilet roll and hand towels. I’ve certainly used worse at more expensive sites.

This site offers great value for money. Would be worth while them investing in a little park for the kids.

Great stay. Would definitely use again.

Large “roomy” campsite, generally flat gently undulating pitches. Plenty of room for children to play and there were swings attached to mature tree. Ground stone-free. Generally quiet (but could be noisy by road). Pot-wash area enclosed with hot water plus a fridge a freezer and toaster for use if required.
Very near to river Trent for walks.

Toilets and showers. They were “functional” ie. they worked and were clean. Cosmetically they are rough for £30 a night.

Peaceful location. Great for dog walks along the river.
