The location, there was plenty of water points and waste disposal points. Owner was friendly.

The shower/toilet blocks need knocking down and rebuilding. They were tiny showers with no room to get dressed without standing in shower tray. The tiles and grout was filthy.
Toilets were clean but each one had hundreds of spiders. Now, I don’t mind spiders but when you have to break the webs down to get to the loo, it’s a bit much…

The warm friendly welcome made me feel safe being a solo female traveller. The place is immaculate. Nice clean toilets and shower block. Had a choice of pitches which were all on level ground. Will definitely be returning again hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Big open space we were told to go and look around and pitch where we liked. Friendly staff on arrival.
We chose this site as only 30/40 minutes from home as we had purchased a new tent and wanted to check it over.
Although as previous reviewers have said facilities are tired and maybe needs modernization in all of our camping experiences over 30 years this sites facilities were extremely clean nice hot showers lovely hand soap and paper towels to dry hands. Nice touch of artificial flowers bunting.
In the little dish wash area there was a fridge you could use if needed. A kettle , microwave and a toaster just made things easier if you needed to use them.
By the dishwashing sinks detergent and scourers brush All things that make it easier and we are grateful for as don’t we all forget something at sometime.
Also some books and games that you could borrow especially if the weather is unkind. We were lucky and had great weather and enjoyed a walk along the river with the dog.

It seems a fairly relaxed site, a few campfires/barbecues when I was there.
Close to walks by River Trent and close to a lovely pub
The lady who runs the site(canna remember her name) was in no rush to pick up her fees
The toilets/showers(Mens) are “cosy” but clean

Not really a dislike but for me it was too big a site, I prefer smaller ones but having said that I will go back
Also please remember when rating cleanliness of toilets etc, not all campers, campervanners , motorhomers treat facilities as they would at home🤔

Very remote location nice and relaxing

Me and my daughters, and our 12 year old dog, Lola, really enjoyed the countryside, we planned this special trip for my youngest daughters 21st, we had the bottom half of the field to ourselves, which made it very nice, and spacious, the people who worked there were very friendly too, the setting was very tranquil, very quiet, beautiful scenery , and not far to walk to the river Trent, we would definitely stay here again.

Really nice quiet site, pitch was nice & flat. No nasty thistles or anything on the grass, walked around bare foot for most of our stay.

Everything about the site made it the perfect choice. My 6 year old daughter wanted to go camping for a night and so we chose this lovely campsite as it was only 25 mins away. We rang ahead as we were running behind our estimated time for arrival and the lovely lady on the phone told us it was no worry and to get there when we did.
Upon turning up we were met by the enthusiastic lady who told us where we could pitch up and if there was anything we needed to return to the office. We pitched in loads of space and my daughter had a great time.
The toilets and showers were really clean and tidy and the site has a safe and pleasant atmosphere.
Will definitely be returning with the rest of the family!
