Beautiful and secure location near the river, far enough off the beaten track to switch off (1 pub and shop in walking distance) but still easy for quick drive to good pubs, shops etc. Well kept campsite, the non electric area has a nice separate feel. Loads of room for kids to have fun safely etc Good little kitchen, fridge, kettle etc and showers piping hot. Great welcome from Martin at the gate and good comms all round.

Not much really only the walk along the river

Very very over crowded, toilets, the dog that the site supervisor takes around with him would bark at everyone and show it's teeth in an aggressive manner, and I wouldn't trust it near all the kids on site

Reasonable site with plenty of space set over three different fields. Staff were super helpful and friendly. Good that they provided shared fridge for guests to use if they don't have their own.

We were there over a bank holiday weekend. For the size of the site and the number of tents/caravans/motorhomes that were there, the toilet facilities are very under spec'd and there were queues at 6am!

We received a warm welcome onto the site and given a quick tour. After this we chose our pitch

Some great pitch choices offering shade from the sun, and generous space from others. We stayed on an electric hook up pitch.

Toilets/showers very clean and well maintained.

A few handy little extras such as the site providing washing up liquid, communal fridge, kettle & toaster which was a bonus!

10 minute walk from the River Trent. Great location to walk along the Trent into the local village of Fiskerton

Choice of pitch was great . Clean facilities friendly accomodating staff . Quiet and peacful, nearby walk on the river was lovely. Spoke to the lady in the office she was really nice very knowledgable for the local area . Martin was great too always saying morning to us and checking we were ok . Perfect for us thank you

Nothing really it was what we expected

Very clean campsite. Lovely facilities, e.g. clean toilets and showers and a sharing fridge/sink area. The manager who lives on site is very friendly and gets to know everyone who enters the site, nothing is too much trouble.

Could do with a bit more of a play area for children (There are 3 swings off a tree.)

Organisation on siede. Martin very good and helpful guy more person on sides like him

Site.manager was lovely and chatty.always paying attention to our.needs and actually holding conversations...a lost art!
Spacious pitches.
Right next.to the river and a.lovely walk.

Shower block needs updating. Twice my children were.locked.into a cubicle as the locks wouldn't open.

The quiet setting of fields all around and the village up the road. The road itself wasn’t too noisy or busy.
Nice flat pitches that seemed to drain well during the rains we had.
Bird song, big skies and dark nights.
The hot water was hot and consistent in the showers and washing up area.
The toaster, microwave and fridge freezer were a lovely touch in the washing up room.
Toilets and showers were basic but clean and there was always loo roll.
Martin was really friendly and helpful when we arrived. His dog, Luca, also helped welcome us with a waggy tail.
The electricity supply was consistent and reliable.
The site felt safe.

The toilet and shower block is in real need of modernising. We would even go as far as to say it needs completely replacing. The shower stalls were small with no room to put your kit so that it didn’t get wet. Not all the doors closed properly or even locked.
There were three toilets and four showers in each section for the whole site. It wasn’t enough. Even the gents was queueing at 8 in the morning. We stayed for a long weekend and it was already struggling to cope with the footfall. We couldn’t imagine what it will be like in the summer holidays. Only two sinks in each block to wash hands, clean teeth etc with limited space to move past people made it a very cramped experience and again people were queuing just to wash their hands after using the toilet.
Over two days we watched close to 80 pitches check in. It felt very ad hoc and cramped although we were told which way we had to pitch our tents and park our cars - we watched some people being asked to re-orientate themselves as they were pitching! Hopefully with the cash that was taken in over those two days for those 80 pitches it can go towards improving the toilet and shower facilities.
The site staff bickered and argued between themselves in front of customers.
Noise wasn’t managed on site. One night it finally stopped at 3am.
Dogs were not on leads.
Be aware there is no on site shop.
