Extremely hot in a pod at night when the weather is so hot

Touring pitches over grown with weeds and nettles grand children stung numereous times. No disabled toilet faciltities and not worth £45 per night.

Ground were unkept, toilets and showers were dirty due to cleaned on a regular basis. After going to the toilets one morning then in the afternoon still still looked the same un cleaned

The whole place! Unorganised, on arrival reception closed so had to go to bar to find help, a lovely member of staff told us where to go and gave us a welcome pack with pitch number, gate code and stated no WiFi access wrote on front! Inside the pack was the bar times, no information regarding water, elson or waste water points and no map of the site. When arriving to the pitch we presumed to park infront of electric meter, the pitch was overgrown and full of weeds, a bit later another motorhome arrived and we found we had to share garden space as we were directly facing! The next day a camper was placed no more than a metre away from our otherside which is definitely against fire regulations!this site is most definitely not a 4* and the price is disgusting compared to others! The general feeling was that a bit of waste land was opened for tourer use! The toilets were not clean and bins overloaded and unkempt, alot of people around us struggled to get their pitch as others were already on them, after 5 when the office closes there is no staff available to help so basically a free for all! Just park where you can! We won't be returning and would like a refund!

Leaving

When we arrived we were told we were not booked in so there was no space for us, apparently Pitch up had not told the site that we were coming. We were just crammed in somewhere not big enough for us, we paid for an XL pitch and did not get that! Music went on from a neighbouring caravan till 2.30am, nobody came to sort the situation out. Toilets were not cleaned, I didn’t even dare go into the showers!! No soft play as advertised, park was run down, everything was just run down and needed updating. Terrible customer service would not return

Access to site entrance was fairly easy.

On arrival I was just given an envelope with a pitch number on and very limited and vague information as to where the pitch was. Not accompanied to pitch and no site map provided.
Once through the barrier to the area for touring caravans the condition of the road deteriorated to a very poor state with numerous pot holes etc.
Pitch numbering on the electric hook up box was difficult to see and actual pitch markings were vague.
The pitches were overgrown and full of grass weeds and nettles as was the access to the fresh water tap on the higher section of the site.
The whole place looked like it had not had any gardening or grass cutting carried out for some time.
I had to go off site on Saturday to get some shopping and when I returned the site manager had been up with another couple and pitched them in between my pitch and next door…and they had then proceeded to pitch their camper van awning on my pitch! Basically their tent was about 4.5-5 feet from my caravan door.
I went to reception to complain and was told that the General Manager was currently off site but would visit later. He never came.
From my pitch it was about 200 yards to the toilet and shower block which also incorporated the only grey and toilet waste on site. On Saturday the block was clean and okay but on Sunday morning it was evident it hadn’t been cleaned and most toilets had little or no toilet paper.
During my stay I was advised by other visitors that the advertised pool was not clean and the bar area was not great.
There was also noise from a karaoke night in the bar on Saturday evening until around midnight.
Also when talking with other guests it was stated that they had already complained to the manager about the state of the pitches and poor upkeep and they had been told by him that the upkeep of the touring area was the responsibility of pitch up as they took the booking. I have little reason to doubt what was said so maybe Pitch Up need to contact the site to confirm the terms and conditions and responsibilities of each party!
The price of the pitch was £45 per night…but it really was not worth this and £20-25 would give a better indication of the facilities - however I am probably doing other sites, prices in that bracket, an injustice!
Definitely a great area but I won’t be going back to that site and don’t recommend it at all.?

Children running wild. Disgusting toilets and showers. Lack of food facilities. Poorly kept pitches, bushes not cut-back, covering electric points. Pitches too close together, total fire hazard.

Lovely warm pool

Disorganised booking in system: pitches to small to close together, not clearly marked, fire hazard when so close. Next caravan 30 cm away from their awning. The end of rows are not marked and then caravans coming down the wrong isle and getting stuck: touring pitches neglected, full of weeds and can’t get to the electric hook up because of them. Apparently pitch ups responsibility to maintain touring pitch.

What a disgrace paid 45 pound for one night for a hardstanding gravel pitch to be allocated a piece of overgrown grass full of nettles .also the toilet block was the worse I've seen

Won't be returning, from the minute we pulled up nothing but trouble. We arrived at 1pm to find out our pitch had been triple booked having to move several times, ants nests everywhere! Finally, set up at 5pm so a day wasted really! no communication what so ever. The club machines rob your money too! All toilets was locked by kids messing about, no toilet rolls. No views to look at just bushes.
