Lovley location. The shower block is in serious need of an overhaul cubicles very small floor very slippy when wet. We were there for a weekend at the end of August the toilets were not cleaned the whole weekend.
No food available.
No shop.
The weekend we were there no draught available in the bar.

The pitches are very small and not very well laid out, not very level either. We were allocated a pitch number on arrival but when we drove round to the pitch it was already taken we were told by the occupants of the pitch that you can just pick any pitch available we booked an extra large pitch but I have no idea if the pitch we chose was the one we paid for. I was also told on checking in that there was water available on the pitch but it was not there was a water point in the middle of the row, the rows are very narrow and some caravans only just fit on the pitch the a frame in some cases overhanging onto the road. Also for the money there was no WiFi.

We stayed in a pod with private bathroom, liked the decent size of it, the bed was alright and had kettle and some dishes / cutlery provided. There is a communal swimming pool which is great and a bar with entertainment, mini golf and kids play area.

There was no restaurant and bar does not serve food, couldn’t even get a coffee from a machine.
However, there are restaurants and shops 3-5 mins drive from the place, so have to bare that in mind.

Unfriendly staff.
Over grown pitches (XL hard standing).
Play park dirty and like a swamp.
Pitches had rubbish flying around.
Old burnt out BBQs left for waste on other pitches.
Fences falling down.
Broken glass bottles.
RATS! Running around van and awning in evening so nerves of rats getting in awning.

Has the potential to be a good site with nice views and very peaceful. The cleaner ( Jackie) was very friendly and very helpful. She went above and Beyond to help my disabled mum into one of the pods that we had hired. Can have bbq and fire so that was also a positive.

We booked this site because it was a 4 star rated with pool, kids indoor play area, pool table, onsite entertainment and arcades and wifi. But upon arrival we found out the arcades were not the best with machines that you could only win sweets on. Other machines were 10p machines and £1 grabbing machines that nobody could win anything on so ends up costing a fortune. Seating in the club, there were only 12 tables around the dance floor so in peak season there won't be much room to accommodate guests. The pool table was out of order, the air hocky tble didn't work and the play area was unavailable too. Upon looking at the website prior to booking, the site boasted an on-site shop with many items including ready meals and all essentials, this was not on site either! We booked an XL pitch and paid extra for a second car and awning. Pitches were tiny, could only just fit one car. Pitches are also not signposted at all at the beginning of each row, so if you go down the wrong row, be prepared to have to reverse your caravan back up a very narrow road which we found out! We went into the entertainment bar for the 1st time on the 3rd night to find out no entertainment was on and just back ground music playing. Mobile phone signal isn't the best and we wasn't aware you had to pay extra for WiFi upon booking and couldn't book it on-site so the kids were gutted they couldn't watch Netflix films that we had planned of an evening. And just to top it off my mum had booked a Pod and put in the notes about being hard of walking. She is unable to walk up stairs as she uses a mobility scooter + walking stick so we wanted to be as close to her as possible incase of an emergency. We were put about 100 meters away when there were empty pitches alot closer. As for the pod we booked for her well it was setup on a small grass hill which was very slippy after the rain fall. The only way to access the pods was to climb on large rocks which were very slippy when wet and walk up the grass verge to get in which me and my partner took turns to assist my mum in and out of the pod when she needed the toilet of needed water as there was a sink but no tap or water pipes. In the event of a fire she would have been stuck or tried to get out and would have fallen which was a very big concern. I have attached a photo to show the access to the pods she was in. The floor had been ripped and staples used to put back into place 1 of which was stuck up and if stood on would of been very painful. I spoke to the manager about the safety concern and he just apologised and said there was nothing he could do unless we paid over £700 extra for a caravan as bookings were nothing to do with the site and eveything runs through pitchup.

The club was really good The showers and toilets were clean

The touring pitches were not as advertised there was no view no lights at night and lots of pot holes in the road 'Going to the showers after dark was quite dangerous There was lots of people complaing about the pitches they need to be marked out clearly. The only view was trees that were overgrown

Nothing going on , no entertainment,
No cafe , takeaway or even shop
Pods very small and on a hilly grass , stayed double pull out bed but wasn’t even single was very small
Booked for 2 nights but only stayed 1 Checked out earlier as children were bored and had to travel out for food .not even a vending machine with drinks/snacks in

Paid £50 deposit , still not been refunded back into account

Park could do with some TLC and entertainment and cafe , takeaway

The grounds do not have adequate drainage during wet weather hence floods your awning,soiled nappies,dog faeces can be found in overgrown hedges, pot holes, not enough space to manoeuvre
your caravan onto the pitch, uneven pitches, extra charges to use the swimming pool and we encountered rats near the toilet block, have complained but they cannot be bothered to acknowledge my email.
Would not go anywhere near this site again.
No words to describe my encounter at this site Not worthy of 1 star in any category.

Price - it was very reasonable, at pretty short notice too.

Dog friendly - dogs were welcomed in the Clubhouse, which made a difference for us.

National park - it was 10 min drive of the National park which was a great walk out with kids and dog.

Local - we are based in East Lancashire, only a 40 min drive & was just a 2 minute drive to the local town where there are plenty of shops/supplies.

Swimming - heated pool was great, available all day & limited on numbers entering which helped.

Showering facilities - the toilet block, shower facilities & washing area was in pretty good condition and clean.

Overall cleanliness - the park itself was pretty poor. Park was tired and dirty, table tennis was dirty and overran with weeds etc.

Touring pitches - the pitches for caravans or campervans were poor. We were on pitch 8 and it was on a hill, on loose stones, overgrown with weeds and we were packed in very tight with just enough room for one car by the side of the campervan. If we had an awning we wouldn’t have had room for both.

Facilities - the pool table was out of order all weekend. The air hockey wasn’t working. The indoor play centre was closed all weekend. The change machine wasn’t working for the first two nights and with no cash point on site we wouldn’t have played any of the games machines until out last day (unless you drove into town, which I ended up doing).

Shop/food - it states there is a shop onsite, there wasn’t. There wasn’t any where to get food. We could order a Domino’s and eat on site which we did, but wasn’t the best.

WiFi - again, advertised but not available.

We didn’t go due to touring pitches all overgrown and dangerous ,still waiting on a refund that you are looking into ,would never use pitch up again to book anything

Located on a pretty lake. Scenery is beautiful near to the reception. Entertainment was fantastic. Pitches clean and tidy. Nice hot showers and clean toilet block. Swimming is fab too.

No signs around the site to direct what pitches to be on. Needs to be well signed pitch numbers. And hard to turn around with a caravan on if u go down wrong road.
Also pitches quite small.
