The overall set up with the swimming pool and bar facilities were really good.

We were located on the new Motorhome pitches that were being built and were not ready. There were pieces of metal sticking out of the ground, piles of gravel and raised kerb stones as the groundwork’s were work in progress. We should not have been staying in the area as it was not safe.

There is currently a lot of construction work taking place on the touring pitches. When complete, this will certainly be good for the site.
The shared areas: bar, arcade and pool were very good - clean, fresh and the staff were very polite and welcoming.
The toilet block was always clean, the showers (although basic) were also clean.

Not as such a dislike, but the construction of the pitches impacted our stay. The noise, dust etc. It would have been nice to have a warning about this before we booked.
However, I am looking forward to returning to Beacon Fell when the work is complete.

The whole thing, the pitches where too small and unfinished, the drive to the pitches where also too narrow and almost unable to turn into them, there was no lighting on or around the pitches and quite a long way from the amenities, also had problems finding the reception area, signage was not helpful and had to ask people where to find it. Definitely not worth the £45 per night, would have been better staying in a lay-by, the bins were overflowing and unsightly. The photo's of this place must have been taken somewhere else, overall our first ever night in our motorhome was underwhelming especially as we where so looking forward to it.

Nothing at all to like

Absolutely awful, we didn’t stay as pitches were stood in muddy water, the pitches looked onto seasonal pitches with fallen down awnings, dogs wandering around & the bar area was like a rough transport cafe.

We stayed in the glamping pod with toilet and shower. The pod was clean and cozy and also had hot running water in the kitchen area. There was an electric kettle, toaster and crockery and cutlery. We took our own camping stove and cooler box. There was also heating so it was lovely and warm in the cooler evenings and mornings. We didn’t need to use the ablution block so can’t comment on this. The pool was clean and a good size and we were able to use it for as long as we wanted, although the site was very quiet when we visited (it was closed between 12 pm and 1pm) changing areas were adequate. Staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately the soft play area was closed at the time of our visit. The arcade area wasn’t great with mostly prize machines with sweets and soft toys. We found the pool temperature a little on the cool side, however the air temperature in the pool area was lovely and warm. The site would benefit from an onsite shop.

Nice and peaceful with clean facilities. Loved the swimming pool and nice friendly staff.

Do not waste your money booking this site. The worst site we have stayed on in the twenty odd years of touring.
Dirty toilets, pitches very small and unkept. No grey waste disposal for motorhomes. The whole place looks rundown.

Pool was really nice, very big and really warm, kids loved it. The bar area was really nice, felt fresh and modern and the kids loved the Halloween party thrown on the Friday night.

The touring pitches are a bit of a state and looks like a forgotten part of the park and at £45 a night its disappointing. The kids park was a mess and not maintained, one swing was missing and just chains hanging down. No hand dryers were working in the men's toilets. The most disappointing part was when I rang on the Thursday to see what was on for the kids double checking the pool would be open, as it was late in the season and seeing if they had any parties on etc, I was told by the lady who answered that she THINKS there is a park for the kids and that there will be something on for them at the bar Saturday and after a few more questions when I said you sound very vague her reply was well its your decision if you want to come and that she only works there 2 days a week! haha so we got there Friday and was told there is a kids Halloween party that night and all the other kids had there fancy dress costumes on when we arrived so very annoyed at that.
