From start to finish I had a the best experience here. Really friendly owners, beautiful campsite, exceptionally quiet aside from the farm animals, birds and insects (not a criticism, it was blissful), exceptionally bright starry nights and a hot shower that beats mine at home.

Great location for exploring the far south-west of Cornwall. If you’re into running or walking, there are lots of lovely local trails.

Понравилось Loved watching grazing sheep from our pitch, pretty special. There was also a funky horsebox for the toilet and shower which made us chuckle. Plus 360 degree lovely countryside views.

Не понравилось Incorrect Pitchup listing. We chose this campsite purely on the strength of it being advertised as 'Adult Only'. On arriving we were disappointed to find this was not the case at all, the van next to us had 2 young kids. Pitchup also stated no dogs permitted, but a van on the other side had a dog! Another issue is that the pitches are quite close together, the guy next to us was literally chain smoking, we couldn't sit outside and had to shut all our windows to avoid the disgusting smell.

Thank you for your review. We’re naturally disappointed to hear you didn’t fully enjoy your stay, especially as no concerns were raised with us at the time. We always encourage guests to speak to us if something isn’t quite right — in most cases we can resolve things immediately, and we would have been more than happy to do so for you.

For clarity, the two children you mention were 12 and 13 years old and were staying by prior arrangement as part of a specialist holiday. We had assurances they would be quiet and respectful — which they were. On rare occasions we accept well-behaved children or dogs by special request, and always with these assurances in place.

We take great pride in keeping our facilities exceptionally clean, and your 2-star cleanliness rating came as a surprise given the consistently positive feedback we receive in this area.

With regard to smoking, while we fully understand it isn’t to everyone’s taste, it is a legal activity on a guest’s own pitch and something we cannot control. Had you mentioned it, we could have offered you a different pitch to make your stay more comfortable.

As for dogs and animals, we are a small working farm with our own friendly dogs and livestock on site — this is part of the environment that many of our guests specifically choose us for. Booking a rural farm stay and then objecting to the presence of animals is perhaps always going to lead to disappointment.

Following your stay, we reached to you in order to better understand your concerns and even offered a refund as a gesture of goodwill. You chose not to reply and instead left this review. We feel this is unfair and unnecessarily damaging, and in truth reflects more on the individual than the campsite. We would urge any potential guests to bear this in mind when reading.

Понравилось Great small and quiet campsite. The WC facilities were cute and creatively done. Unfortunately we experienced the uncomfortable time of showering in a puddle of water. It was explained that this is an issue which occurs now and again due to structural plumbing issues. Dan was kind and sorted the situation and in the rest of our stay it worked fine.

Couldn’t see the sea but suppose it’s just the time we were there as the hedges were high.

Had a nice time barbecuing until the farm dogs came over trying to get some meat! One of them sat next to us and growled. Apart from that it was all good!

Не понравилось Blocked shower drain 1 out of 4 days. Farm dogs can be a little annoying as unattended and can go to your tent pitches even if the gates are locked. (I like dogs, don’t have one ourselves but if you’re terrified of them for some reason, just be mindful)

Also they knocked over our barbecue pit and growled at us when we had some food in the pitch

Понравилось That there are only a few pitches, no children, rural setting, friendly farms dogs, lovely hot shower, friendly owners.

Не понравилось Nothing. There isn’t a view from the campsite as such. But we are aware of that, from the other reviews, so all good.

Понравилось I loved the small, cosy and boutique aspects of this campsite.
The loos, shower and other facilities were clean.
I liked the ducks and dog. Unfortunately, the sheep were in another field and we didn't see the other farm animals.

Не понравилось I couldn't see the sea, but then I am quite short and couldn't see over the tall hedge. It's quite an exposed site, on higher ground, so can be tough to hold onto your tent in windy weather.

Понравилось Tiny site with well thought out toilet and shower facilities in an old horse box. Shower was super warm😊
Communal fridge and freezer very useful in the sometimes very hot sometimes not so hot weather. Liked the fact you could have a fire pit.

Не понравилось The grass could have been a bit shorter but that’s such a minor thing..
Shower slow to drain but a bit of improvised plunging with a croc soon sorted it🤣

Понравилось Wonderful place, very safe, amazing view. Ewe campsite is more comfortable than 5 star hotel. We will back there soon. ♥️♥️♥️

Понравилось No fuss good flat pitch.
Good use of old material e.g shower in horse box.
Green campsite

Не понравилось The bathroom was unclean and the shower was blocked, shower tray overflowing which was unpleasant.

I would like to have stayed here again but the shower facility was so unclean.

Is a green campsite but eco and green doesn’t have to mean blocked showers

Thanks for your brutally honest feedback. We sincerely apologise for the shower tray overflowing, we had a temporary but serious blockage. This was all resolved withing 48 hours and the shower and bathroom were back to their normal clean and free draining best. We clean and scrub the shower and toilets every single day to a very high standard and the 2 days where it was flooding was an anomaly which has never happened before. We have refunded the other guests who were staying at the time and if you would like to get a refund for those dates please just send us a message and we will get it paid back. As you can see from all of our other views cleanliness has never been raised as an issue before this review and we will continue to maintain these to the very best of our ability. We operate to the highest standard and can only apologise, offer you the refund and a free night stay next time if you are happy to trust this was freak circumstances.

Понравилось Such a wonderful stay! The shepherds hut is beautifully fitted out and very thoughtfully designed. I am not shy about the fact that I hate camping, but it was like staying in a tiny home rather than a campsite, very cosy and homely.

A wonderful shower, a proper hob to cook on, a log burner, a lovely outside space to dine looking across the stunning views to the beach beyond over the fields of sheep grazing.

We had a magical time, thank you!

Side note: we still had great signal so I could tether my laptop and do some work with a view, plan some walks and to watch a movie one evening. You’re not totally off grid if that’s important to you :)
