Понравилось Location was great, 2 miles from Monsal head.

Не понравилось The facilities were the worst I’ve experienced so far. Portaloos and shower enclosures, which appeared to be seriously impacted by water pressure as they weren’t working when I tried to use. The outdoor kitchenette sinks were being used at the time, hence why I suspect pressure was an issue. Also, no hot water in kitchenette sinks, which is poor considering most campers will BBQ and require hot or at least warm water to clean properly. It was really busy during our stay so expect to be packed in across two fields. We arrived around 3pm and just had to squeeze our camper van into any available space we could find. The site was full of families and young groups but can’t say this caused any disturbance as we sleep with earplugs!

От менеджера: Thank you for your review. We’re pleased you enjoyed the location, however, we’re concerned that some of the facilities and experiences mentioned do not match our campsite.

We do not have a kitchenette on site, so we’re unsure where the comments regarding kitchenette sinks and hot water relate to. We also currently have a strict no BBQ and no fires policy due to the hot weather and increased wildfire risk, so we’re not sure what you mean by BBQs being used on our site.
Our campsite is a back-to-basics wild campsite, designed for those wanting to get away from it all, reconnect with nature and enjoy a peaceful outdoor experience. We have plenty of space across the site and do not squeeze guests into pitches or pack them tightly across the fields.

We’re also surprised by the comments regarding our toilets and showers. We are on site several times a day cleaning and checking the toilets, and our hot showers are maintained in good condition. We regularly receive very positive feedback from guests about these facilities.

Не понравилось Very crowded, even though we pre booked it was hard to find a space, people arriving later on where pitching in the small spaces between other campers, I appreciate its high season and would probably come back out of season when less busy

Понравилось The location and facilities were excellent. The washrooms were always clean and well maintained, no matter what time of day we visited. The campsite is very spacious, making it a comfortable place to stay.

One of the highlights was waking up to the sounds of sheep, cows, and the rooster in the morning. It created a wonderful countryside atmosphere, and we absolutely loved it!

Не понравилось We visited this campsite for the first time, and overall the campsite itself was good. However, a few groups were extremely noisy late at night, which disturbed everyone around them.

It would be great if the campsite enforced quiet hours from **11:30 PM to 6:00 AM** so that all guests can have a peaceful night's sleep.

Понравилось Had a really great time at the camp site. Plenty of space, amazing scenery and the best way to decompress from a busy work life.

Water troughs, shower and toilets all working as expected and were cleaned regularly throughout the stay.

Relatively peaceful and not too much noise, soon as it hit 10/11pm it was pretty much silent during the weekend we stayed and were not disturbed.

Не понравилось Can’t be helped but the site is quite far from any local shops and is a good 15 mins walk away from the only nearby cafe which is expensive.

A trip to get some more ice for the cooler was a 30 min round trip in the car to a nearby village, make sure you’re properly stocked.

Не понравилось everything.Some make bbq ,but some not allowed becouse high risk fire.
No alternative and she no interesting what we eat how we feel very very bad place

We note that you have posted numerous negative reviews and comments about our business across multiple platforms over the past few weeks, alongside repeated contact regarding your stay.
We are sorry that you were unhappy with your experience. However, we do need to address several of the statements made in your review, particularly given the repeated nature of the complaints being made across different platforms.

As we explained during your stay, on the phone and via text message, fires and BBQs are currently not permitted due to the hot weather conditions and the increased risk of wildfires. These restrictions are outside of our control and are in place for the safety of everyone on the campsite and the surrounding area.
We are a basic wild camping site, so we do not have communal kitchens or designated food areas that we can offer as an alternative. We explained that you could use gas stoves and there were takeaway options that deliver to the campsite on our information noticeboard.
The fire restrictions are also clearly stated within our booking terms and conditions, including that fires and BBQS are not permitted during periods of high fire risk.
We completely understand that you may have been disappointed by the recent fire ban, particularly if you were expecting to have a fire or BBQ during your stay. However, this is not a rule that we have introduced ourselves, and we cannot make exceptions to it.
We would also like to clarify your comments regarding communication. We spoke with you on numerous occasions during your stay and did not hang up on you. We were also on site at the same time as you, so we were available to speak with you directly.
We always try to be as helpful as possible and provide information and alternatives where we can, but unfortunately we cannot override restrictions and local rules that are outside our control.

Понравилось Very clean facilities, friendly staff and only 10 minutes to bakewell by car. Would definitely stay again!
