Gostou What a gorgeous peaceful little campsite. The owners were so friendly and helpful with advice on best place to pick onsite and local walks. I arrived on a Thursday and there was no one else there. There are not nessarily designated pitches but a few tables and fire pits around which indicate good spots. 2 spots had been reserved but apart from that I had my pick. I choose a little corner atv the top of the site for my van and two dogs near the shower/toilet block. The camp site is on a hill so be mindful of this but it definitely wasn't an issue for me. I had a lovely view down the campsite. Those on the other side will be able to see the estuary so it really depends what you want. I wanted a quiet enclosed corner. Stayed 3 nights. Great facilities. 2 very good showers (don't forget your pound coins) and 2 flushing toilets. Washing up facilities with hot water too. The walks straight from the site make this a 10 out of 10 for me as once I'm set up I don't want to move the van. I would definitely stay here again. Bonus as well on Vodafone I even got 5g!

Gostou Such a lovely little campsite. I was a bit concerned about the pitch space on arrival as it was a busy Saturday and I've 2 slightly boisterous doggys but once settled it was actually perfectly spacious and we were lucky to have a view of the horses. I stayed with my daughter in our van. Both David and Jill were so welcoming and made me feel at ease straight away. It was lovely to talk with them both. Really tidy site, nice short grass too. Also great having bolam lake opposite to walk the dogs straight from the site. We only stayed one night and it was perfect for our needs

Our weekend stays are very popular but it's so important to us that guests have spacious pitches and all of the facilities they need to have a comfortable and relaxing stay. Bolam Lake Country Park is great for walking dogs and spotting wildlife too. Thank you for staying with us and we hope you visit again in the future.

Gostou Everything. What a fantastic site!! Choose your own pitch...which was hard at first as there is so much choice. I went for somewhere I could see the sea and away from the busier areas near the washrooms. I have 2 dogs who can be a bit barky but our pitch was secluded enough. There was plenty of life and other campers around but it didnt feel busy because the pitch fields are separated. It just works really well. From my pitch I had a little walk to the washrooms but great facilities provided. Also a useful shop and bar/cafe on site. The make their own cider, which you can purchase on site! An orchard area for the dogs and walks from site..but be warned the hill down to the bay is steep, but manageable. I'm a solo women camper and I felt very safe here. There is honestly nothing more I could have wished for I hope to return in the future.

Gostou I stayed 2 nights in my campervan. It was perfect for me and my two dogs. I loved how small the site is and that you have an assigned pitched. The map on entry is great. The pitches are so spacious. I'm a solo women camper and I felt very safe here. Jenny is lovely. I like that she comes round to check on things and we chatted several times. My dogs can be a bit barky but she was very accommodating and I felted welcomed. The weather was hot so we chilled by the van mostly but it was a beautiful place to be. The way the pitches are laid out I could walk the dogs around the site and not get in any ones way. The facilities are all there, yes they are composting loos but work perfectly fine and were clean. Showers are spacious and just warm enough. There is even the facility to charge phones etc so I was able to charge my power bank before I left for my next campsite. If you want a quiet, safe, idyllic setting this is definitely a perfect option.
