Do gestor: Dear Mr D, Thank you for your second review - although your first states you would stay again (hashtag confused…) Yes, you are correct we do not allow visitors or guests under 21 years of age. (This is clearly stated in our booking terms and conditions.) As you can see from previous reviews, we pride ourselves on being a small, quiet site (which you yourself have mentioned in your reviews), exclusively for adults. With this in mind, I am fully prepared to take your 6/10 review “on the chin” so to speak, rather than have our other guests be disturbed or arrive to somewhere that wasn’t what they hoped or expected it would be. Once again, I’d like to say that motorbikes using the nearby A-road is beyond our control. Wishing you many more happy holidays, even if they won’t be with us. All the very best, Wendy.

Gostou Spotless toilet/shower facilities, small adult only site, small enclosed dog walking area.

Não gostou Nothing really, we are local so know the area well, we never left the site, the bikers speeding in the daytime were a bit tiresome

Do gestor: Dear Mr D, I am so pleased that you liked our small adult only campsite, that your doggie companions appreciated the dog exercise area and that you would like to visit again and also recommend us to friends. With regards to your dislikes about some motorbikes on the main road half a mile away, I’m afraid that this is simply beyond our control. (Although I note that a review we received from guests who stayed for the same duration as you, commented that they had a nice and peaceful stay 🤷‍♀️)

Gostou The scenery, facilities the price, the Shire horses, especially the new baby and lastly the owners, such a wonderful, friendly, passionate to please family, we shall return very soon.

Gostou Fantastic from start to finish, owner Huw was a dlight, his mother extremely interesting, great food available, grandson loved the bouncy castle and price was perfectly reasonable, we will return v soon according to my grandson

Gostou Cleanliness of the whole site including shower blocks, nearby golf course clubhouse, helpful staff.

Não gostou Not really anywhere to walk without going onto busy road. Not sure why clubhouse wasn't open in the high season although it was very quiet.

Gostou Absolutely everything, the peace, the size of the pitches, the owners and staff, the superb toilet and shower facilities, the cleanliness and the food in the clubhouse was brilliant, plentiful and reasonably priced. The walk into the woods directly off the site was ideal and a good place to get away from the sun for the dogs.

Gostou Surroundings, riverside, spotlessly clean toilet and shower block albeit not heated. The Manor house has facilities to bring dogs into the building with a room set aside and the meals were good value.

Não gostou Slightly too many speed humps and the chemical toilet waste was overflowing and very unpleasant.

Gostou Everything from the grounds, the pool, the bar, the staff and the pitches and shower blocks. Lastly, the ambience and direct walkway into the forests.

Não gostou Leaving, genuinely disliked leaving, we headed to Stratford upon Avon as we couldn't get 3 more nights here. I was prepared to forego payment at Stratford for this heavenly site.

Gostou The owners friendliness, the cleanliness of the toilets and showers and the peace and quiet, also the slate quarry views. Close proximity to zip world.

Não gostou The entrance on sat nav is wrong, it tries to send you on a right angled turn into a narrow road. There is a better entrance 50 yards further on.

Gostou Peace and quiet, laid back and stunning views. Toilets were clean and water and elec on the CL site with waste not too far away. Never saw the owner until last day but they were friendly and Vinny the sheepdog was super friendly and always seemed hungry enough to join us for dinner, tea etc!!

Não gostou The only negative would be the location at the top of a steep hill, unless you are super fit, its too high to cycle or walk for those with limited walking ability. We took one of the motorhomes down and unloaded cycles and dogs and parked next to the lake so we managed. The site could also do with some more toilets as there are only 2 available, not enough for the number of pitches available.

Gostou Proximity to town, quiet site, price, friendliness of employees

Não gostou Moved from hard standing as I prefer to step out onto grass, also felt they were too close to each other. Asked to move and was accommodated by the wardens. Unable to cycle outside of town as the roads were quite fast.

Gostou Closeness to town, price was ok too, clean toilets/showers. Friendliness of staff, willing to accommodate us in moving to quieter pitch away from others. Also had to borrow an extension lead to reach elec point which they did give me so thanks for that.

Não gostou Felt like the hardstanding pitches were too close and only small strips of grass for stepping out onto, I don't like stepping onto gravel as it is uneven and hard. Hence we asked to move and were to a grass pitch. Not suitable for long cycle rides given the roadways in and out of Llandovery which are quite fast Wifi hit and miss.
